Kris Cruise: Here we are, Stephy. This is it right here. The match we’ve all been waiting for. Chander-Cordy III. Who do you have?
Stephy Auger: I think it’s too close to call. Both grapplers have victories over each other. They’re both at the top of their games. Both have made adjustments. I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends in a draw.
Kris Cruise: Well I don’t know about a draw, but I think this one is too close to call. When you think of FGA’s top two performers, when you think of the two grapplers that have defined 2015, it is these two. The margin of error is so small in this. This is so evenly matched. I can’t wait. Let’s just send it to the ring…
MAIN EVENT
FGA World Championship Match
(c) Chandler Scott vs. Cordy Stevenson
The lights dim down and take on a purplish hue as a light smoky mist fills the entranceway. The opening riff to Janet Jackson's "If" pierces the air as a shapely silhouette can be seen taking form in the mist.
As the beat drops, the crowd gives a loud pop as Cordelia Stevenson emerges from the mist with a bounce in her step. She comes to a stop atop the walkway, glancing around and taking in the reception before giving the crowd a warm smile. She rolls her neck around before bowing her head and letting her hair fall in front of her face. A few seconds go by before she snaps her head up, whipping her hair back from in front of her face.
She continues on down the ramp, working from side to side with a big smile as she slaps the hands of fans along the way. She gets to the ring and hops up onto the apron, mouthing the words and bouncing to the music as she makes her way around the side, towards the middle. She turns and faces her crowd, stretching her arms out to the side and slightly tilting her head backwards as she soaks in their reaction. She gives them an appreciative nod and blows a kiss at them, before stepping into the ring and making her way over towards the opposite turnbuckle. She quickly hops up and holds her arms out, drawing a reaction from that side of the crowd as well. She unzips her hoodie and tosses it away before hopping down and making her way over to her corner as the music dies down.
The sound of an organ plays throughout the arena, capturing the attention of all the fans in the crowd. They all turn their attention to the entrance way, preparing for the man that’s about to walk out. As "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple kicks in, the crowd begins to boo, jeer and heckle loudly. The camera dolly slowly rolls up towards the curtain. At around the 30 second mark, Chandler Scott pushes through the curtain as the crowd really begins to let him have it. Chandler looks over and can be seen mouthing at the camera while he points an accusatory finger at it. He then turns his attention towards the ring as he thrusts his arms in the air, resulting in another round of loud boos from the crowd.
Chandler keeps his index fingers in the air, letting everyone know who is truly "number one” around this joint. He keeps a smug look planted on his face as he swaggers down to the ring. After climbing up onto the apron, Chandler steps through the ropes, climbs up onto the second ropes and slowly raises his fists in the air as he absorbs the crowd's disdain for him. After stepping down to the canvas, he can be seen arguing with some fans in the front row.
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! It is your main event of the evening and it is for the FGA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!
The raucous Irvine crowd explodes into cheers and applause. They can no longer contain their excitement over this highly-anticipated main event. Dueling “LET’S GO, CORDY” / “CHANDLER SUCKS!” chants break out. Cordy can be seen placing an index finger behind her ear. Chandler, meanwhile, just rolls his eyes.
J.A. Aldridge: Introducing first, the challenger! From Freeport, Long Island! Weighing in at 146 pounds! She is the 2015 Gold Rush Rumble winner… CORDY STEVENSON!
Cordy steps into the center of the ring, where she’s showered with purple and grey streamers. The Irvine crowd once again break out into a chant, screaming...
“LET’S GO CORDY!”
*clap-clap, clap-clap-clap*
“LET’S GO CORDY!”
*clap-clap, clap-clap-clap*
“LET’S GO CORDY!”

J.A. Aldridge: And her opponent, from Hyannis, Massachusetts! Weighing in at 228 pounds! He is the reigning… defending… FGA World Champion! He is The DNA of FGA… CHANDLER SCOTT!
Chandler steps towards the center of the ring, where he’s showered with black and red streamers, as well as a barrage of boos from the crowd.
“FUCK YOU, CHANDLER!”
“CHANDLER SUCKS!”
“FUCK YOU, CHANDLER!”
“CHANDLER SUCKS!”
“FUCK YOU, CHANDLER!”
“CHANDLER SUCKS!”
After Terrence Tillman a few local California wrestlers scramble to remove all the streamers from the ring, Chandler looks at the belt before handing it over to our senior official. The referee then shows the belt to Cordy, who gives the center plate a quick dap. The ref then holds up the belt for all sides of the crowd to see before handing it off on the outside. He checks to see if Cordy’s ready. Cordy nods. He checks to see if Chandler’s ready. Chandler nods. He then motions for the bell...
The bell sounds as both grapplers circle the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Chandler places Cordy in a side headlock. He then throws her down to the mat with a side headlock takeover. After shifting around on the canvas, Cordy’s able to reverse into a leg scissors headlock. But Chandler is able to escape via a kip up. Once Cordy gets back to her feet, Chandler runs over towards her. But she quickly throws him down with a side headlock takeover. Chandler then reaches up, grabs Cordy by the hair and pulls her head back to boos from the crowd. Once she’s in position, he quickly reverses into a leg scissors headlock. But Cordy’s able to escape via kip up. When she turns around, Chandler spins around on his knees to face her. He then quickly gets back to his feet before circling the ring.
The two continue to circle the ring until they go for a lock up. But Chandler ducks the lock up, goes behind Cordy and applies a waist lock. Cordy tries to pry Chandler’s arms from around her waist, but it's to no avail. So she nails him with an elbows to the face, breaking the hold. She then performs a standing switch and then applying a waist lock of her own. But unlike Cordy, Chandler’s able to pull Cordy’s arms from around his waist. He then grabs one of the arms and transitions into an arm wrench, causing Cordy to wince. The ref asks her if she’s good. She responds with a nod. But not for long as Chandler delivers a quick yank on the arm, causing Cordy to cringe. He then delivers another arm wrench. The ref asks Cordy if she wants to give up. But she declines by shaking her head. She then rolls forward, leans back, kips up jumps up and brings Chandler down with a headscissors takeover.
Chandler gets back up to his feet, but Cordy sends him right back down with another side headlock takeover. He then reaches up, pulls her hair and turns her over into a pinning position.

Chandler then reaches back with his free arm and reverses into a side headlock. But Cordy’s able to slip out and reverse into a hammerlock. Chandler then tries to elbow Cordy, but she moves her head out of the way. So he leans forward, reversing into a hammerlock. But Cordy then quickly reaches back, grabs Chandler, jumps up and brings him down with a jumping snapmare. She then goes over to attack Chandler, but he spins around on his knees to face her. He then quickly gets back to his feet and steps back towards the ropes. The crowd cheers as both grapplers step back to size each other up.
Kris Cruise: Neither grappler was able to dominate the other there. Let’s see if they try something different...
The two grapplers circle the ring before locking up. Chandler quickly uses his strength advantage to move Cordy into the ropes. While Chandler’s got her pressed against the ropes, the ref scurries over and gives both grapplers until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Both grapples appear to make the clean break. But Chandler does so as he purposely leans against Cordy. As Chandler pulls himself off Cordy, he rakes his forearms across her face, resulting in boos from the crowd. Cordy touches her face and then narrows her eyes as she looks over at Chandler.
Cordy makes her way over to Chandler and locks up with him. Again, Chandler uses his strength advantage to move Cordy across the ring. He goes to press Cordy into the corner. But at the last minute, Cordy switches positions with him. The ref then gives both grapplers until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Both grapplers make the clean break. Once Chandler lowers his arms…
*WHACK*
Cordy slaps the taste right out of his mouth, resulting in cheers from the crowd. Chandler holds his cheek while Cordy responds with a smirk.
Kris Cruise: It’s starting to get testy, Stephy.
Stephy Auger: Starting?
The two grapplers circle the ring. After sizing each other up, they rush towards the center of the ring and lock up. Chandler then ducks down, goes behind Cordy and throws her down with a waist lock takeover. He then turns around on her back and applies a front facelock. Cordy tries to get back to her feet, but Chandler gator rolls to his left. Cordy tries to get back to her feet, but Chandler gator rolls over to his right. He then spins around on Cordy’s back and applies a grounded side headlock. He cinches in the hold, causing Cordy to groan. The ref asks her if she wants to give up. But she declines. Chandler then quickly turns, reversing into a grounding hammerlock. After placing his knees down across Cordy’s arm, he takes his hand and slaps her across the back of the head to boos from the crowd.
After Cordy gets back to her feet, the two grapplers circle the ring. They go to lock up. But Cordy shoots in, delivering a single leg takedown. She tries to turn Chandler oner into a single leg crab. But Chandler uses his free leg to shove her down to the canvas. After both grapplers get up, Chandler grabs Cordy and whips her into the ropes. When Cordy comes back, Chandler throws out a clothesline. But Cordy ducks and runs into the ropes. When Cordy comes back, Chandler goes for a back body drop. But Cordy slips down from behind. She applies a waist lock. But Chandler then runs forward. After grabbing the ropes, he jerks back, sending Cordy down to the canvas. After she rolls back up to her feet, Chandler runs over to attack. But Cordy side steps and brings him down with a drop toe hold. She quickly rolls across his back and applies a grounded side headlock. After keeping Chandler locked in the hold for a few seconds, she rolls over, mounts herself on Chandler’s back and slaps him across the back of the head, resulting in cheers from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: I don’t think Chandler took too kindly to that slap.
Stephy Auger: Neither did Cordy when he slapped her.
Chandler motions for Cordy to come here with his finger. Cordy obliges. She makes her way across the ring and gets right in Chandler’s face as the crowd cheers.
Kris Cruise: Oh boy...
The two grapplers begin to jaw jack before Chandler palms her face and shoves her back, resulting in boos from the crowd. But Cordy won’t be intimidated, so she comes right back and does the same to him. Chandler gets right back in Cordy’s face and yells at her before shoving her into the ropes. Cordy then comes back and shoves Chandler, sending him stumbling back to cheers from the crowd. Chandler then makes his way back over to Cordy and nails her with a kick to the midsection. He then takes Cordy by the arm and whips her into the corner. He runs across the ring, but Cordy nails him with boot to the face, sending him staggering away from the corner. After shaking off the blow, Chandler turns around and runs right back into the corner. This time, Cordy nails him with an elbow to the face. After Chandler stumbles back, he runs right back into the corner. But Cordy side steps and drop toe holds him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After Chandler goes down, Cordy proceeds to stomp him out of the ring.
While Chandler’s on the outside, Cordy takes off into the ropes. Chandler can see her approaching out of the corner of his eye. So he scurries away, forcing Cordy to put on the brakes. She then places her hands on her hips as she’s forced to watch Chandler circle the ring. Once the count gets to nine, he quickly rolls back in, then right back out to restart the count. The crowd boos as Chandler takes his sweet time circling the ring.
Kris Cruise: These two are trying to oneup and frustrate one another. I love it!
Stephy Auger: When Chandler turns back to Cordy, he can see Cordy mocking him by getting into a sprinter’s stance, resulting in some laughs and cheers from the crowd. Chandler slaps the apron in frustration before pointing an accusatory finger at Cordy.
After walking up the steps, Chandler wipes his feet off on the apron before stepping back into the ring. The two grapplers proceed to circle the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Chandler places Cordy in a side headlock. She then shoves Chandler off of her and into the ropes. When Chandler comes back, he steamrolls her with a running shoulderblock. He then runs into the ropes as Cordy kips up. When Chandler comes back, Cordy leapfrogs over him. Chandler then continues to run into the ropes. When Chandler comes back, Cordy goes for a hip toss. But Chandler blocks it. So she punches him in the midsection, doubling him over. But Cordy counters with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors takeover to cheers from the crowd. As Chandler gets up, Cordy runs over and connects with another dropkick, sending Chandler stumbling through the ropes. But he doesn't land on the floor. As Chandler pulls himself up using the ropes, Cordy goes over and doubles him over with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. She then steps back, runs into the corner and plants Chandler with a triangle DDT on the apron.
Kris Cruise: Chandler just got drilled onto the apron with that DDT from Cordy!
Stephy Auger: That’s gotta take something out of him. The apron is the hardest part of the ring, Kris.
As Chandler slowly gets up, Cordy runs into the ropes. When she comes back, she hurls herself through the ropes, delivering a suicide dive from behind that sends Chandler face-first into the guard rail.
Chandler slowly turns over onto his back, clutching his face in pain. Meanwhile, Cordy crawls over and reaches up. Once she grabs a hold of the apron, she uses it to pull herself back up. After rolling herself back in, she gets back to a vertical base and waits for Chandler to return to his feet. Back on the floor, Chandler can be seen stirring around before slowly sitting up. As he slowly returns to his feet, Cordy takes off into the ropes. When Chandler turns around, Cordy soars over the top rope, knocking him down with a suicide plancha to cheers and chants from the crowd.
“CORDY! CORDY! CORDY! CORDY!”
Cordy mounts herself on top of Chandler and hammers away with a series of right rights to the face. After Chandler heads to the floor, he proceeds to put the boots to Cordy. He then picks Cordy up, scoops her up into his arms and then drops her face-first against the apron. After putting the boots to her again, Chandler picks her up and whips her hard into the guard rail. Chandler goes over, pulls Cordy back up by the hair and shoves her, causing her to smack the back of her head against the ring post. Back on the outside, Chandler picks up Cordy and knees her in the midsection. He then goes to lift her up for what appears to be a shinbreaker. But instead of bringing her down across his knees, he runs forward, ramming her knee against the guard rail. Cordy goes down, clutching her knee in pain.
Kris Cruise: Cordy’s knee just collided with the guard rail. She might be hurt, Stephy.

Once Chandler gets back up, he grabs a hold of Cordy’s right leg and delivers a rolling leg snap. Cordy immediately wraps her hands around her knee.
Kris Cruise: We saw Chandler put away Annie Zellor two weeks ago with the Scott Lock. He’s looking to do the exact same thing here with Cordy.

Cordy picks up Chandler and goes for an irish whip. But Chandler reverses, sending Cordy into the corner. He then runs into the corner. But Cordy nails him with an elbow to the face. As Chandler stumbles back, Cordy turns around in the corner and goes for the Beautiful Nightmare. But Chandler catches her leg in mid air and throws her down with a dragon screw leg whip. From there, Chandler grabs both of her legs, turns and applies the Scott Lock.
Kris Cruise: There it is!
Cordy can be heard groaning in pain as the crowd boos.
Stephy Auger: Hang on, Cordy! Hang on!
The ref asks Cordy if she wants to give up. But Cordy won’t quit. Chandler can be heard yelling at Cordy to tap. The ref then asks Cordy again if she wants to give up. But again, Cordy won’t quit. So she pushes herself up. She begins to slowly crawl across the ring. But Chandler pulls back, sending her down to the mat.
Kris Cruise: Chandler’s got her right where he wants her. There’s nowhere for her to go!
The ref asks her if she wants to quit. But she declines by shaking her head. So Chandler pulls back some more, causing Cordy to cringe.
Stephy Auger: Cordy’s trying to fight through the pain. She’s trying to resist the urge to tap out.
The ref asks Cordy if she wants to give up. But Cordy will not give up. So she places her palms down on the mat and slowly pushes herself up. Chandler can be seen getting frustrated as Cordy begins to walk across the mat. She reaches out… but she’s not close enough.
Stephy Auger: Just a few more inches, Cordy. Just a few more...
Cordy continues to pull herself forward as Chandler holds on for dear life. Cordy reaches out… but she’s still not there.
Kris Cruise: Cordy’s right there. Just another two or three inches. That’s all she needs!
Cordy yells as she continues to pull forward. She reaches out… and just as she’s about to grab the bottom rope, Chandler walks back towards the center of the ring and sits down in the Scott Lock, resulting in boos from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: All of that progress: gone! She’s back to square one!
Stephy Auger: How much energy does she even have left?
Cordy can be seen covering her head with her arms. But we can hear her screaming in pain. Chandler continues to pull back.
The ref asks Cordy if she wants to give up. But Cordy doesn’t answer.
Kris Cruise: Is she out?
After the ref shakes Cordy, he asks her again if she wants to give up. Still, no answer.
Stephy Auger: I think she might be out.
So the ref takes her arm and raises it. The arm falls to the mat.
Chandler continues to keep the hold applied as the ref raises her arm again. It falls a second time.
Chandler chuckles as the ref raises her arm a third time. This time, the arm doesn’t.
Kris Cruise: She’s not done! Cordy’s not done!
Cordy puts the arm down and then pushes herself up off the canvas. Chandler shakes his head in disbelief as Cordy scratches, claws and drags herself across the canvas.
Kris Cruise: Cordy’s pulling herself across the ring!
Stephy Auger: She didn’t come all this way for nothing! She didn’t win the Gold Rush Rumble to go home empty handed!
Chandler tries to sit down, but it's to no avail. So he tries to pull back. But again, Cordy pushes herself right back up.
Kris Cruise: She’s determined to make it to the ropes!
Cordy reaches out… and grabs the bottom rope. The crowd then explodes into cheers. The ref gives Chandler until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Chandler breaks the hold as he drops to his knees. He stays kneeling with his hands on his hips.
Kris Cruise: He thought he had her beat. But Chandler underestimated the will and the desire of Cordy Stevenson.
Chandler picks up Cordy and goes for a short-arm clothesline. But Cordy ducks. When Chandler turns around…

Kris Cruise: Chandler pulled it out! He managed to retain his World Championship. But it was not easy!
Stephy Auger: It definitely wasn’t. These two threw everything, literally everything at each other! These two are exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally! Both competitors should be proud of their performances tonight. Just a tremendous back and forth match where limits pushed and they still kept coming. Hats off to these two!
Chandler slowly rolls over onto his knees. From there, he slowly lift the FGA World Championship belt over his head before collapsing on all fours...
