Sean Sands vs. Sunshine Scandalous Tony Carmine

J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a singles match set for one fall! Introducing first…

"Burn Brighter" by Landsdowne plays as Sean Sands steps out from behind the curtain, a smile on his face. He points out at the audience as they cheer for him and nods his head before beginning his walk down the ramp towards the ring. Halfway down the ramp, Sean begins slapping hands with some of the fans and even signs an autograph or two. When he reaches ringside, Sean nods his head as he stares out at the audience again, before heading over towards the steel steps and quickly scaling them until he reaches the apron.

J.A. Aldridge:... from Cincinnati, Ohio! Weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds… SEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNN SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDS!

Sean slowly walks on the apron, looking at the audience still, before finally turning his attention to everyone in the ring. He quickly pulls on the top rope and hops over them before landing on his feet. Sean quickly climbs to the nearest corner on the middle turnbuckle before pointing out at the fans holding signs in support for him. Once he hops off, Sands heads to his corner and gets ready for his match.

J.A. Aldridge: And his opponent…

As RetcH's "Graceful Jewelry Removal" hits, the lights dim and eventually the crowd will begin to jeer. Pink and purple strobe lights starts to flare. Once the bass drops, Scandalous Tony emerges from the curtains with his arms spread out, accompanied by 3 full-figured women following behind him(never the same group of women). He pops the collar on his furry vest before turning his back the ring and utters something to the women behind him. Suddenly he swings back around and slowly struts down the ramp, repeating the lyrics. He takes his purple pick out and starts picking his hair out.

"n****s pussy I should sprinkle them with glitter, for real my n****."

After putting the pick away, he then pulls out a nail filer and starts filing his nails, all the while taking his sweet time to get to the ring as he instructs the females to have the ropes held for him by the time he gets to ringside. With the ladies seated on the middle rope, Tony ignores them and walks up the steps and into the ring on his own.

J.A. Aldridge:...from Boca Raton, Florida, weighing in at 154 pounds, "Sunshine" Scandalous Tony Carmine!

Tony laughs as he stands on the middle rope and looks out to the fans while slowly and seductively taking his furry vest off and throwing it to the group of females as they step off the apron. He backflips into the ring as his music slowly fades.

Kris Cruise: Both of these men have claimed their spots for this years Gold Rush, and winning here tonight could go a long way for either man.

Stephy Auger: I don’t know about that, Kris. That Gold Rush Rumble is a completely different beast. Tonight? Carmine and Sands only have to worry about one other person. At Gold Rush? They have to worry about multiple.

Kris Cruise: You have a point, but bragging rights are on the line, and I’m sure either man would like to have those.

Both men stand still in their corners, patiently waiting for the referee to ring the bell. After checking with both men, the referee calls for the bell and the matches is underway!

Sands and Carmine charge out of their corner and begin throws fists at one another. Sands gets the advantage after he pulls back on Carmine’s hair, and hits him in the head with a bionic elbow. Carmine bounces back off the ropes, and Sands was right there to catch him with a hurricanrana! Sands grabs a hold of the leg and leans forward with it to make the quick cover..

Carmine kicks out almost immediately after the referees one count. Both men get back to their feet and Sands was right there to connect with a kick to the midsection. Sands runs off the ropes, only for Carmine to use Sands own momentum against him and hit a tilt a whirl backbreaker! Carmine doesn’t waste any time and quickly pounces overtop of Sands, blasting him in the face with rights and lifts. He lifts Sands to his feet by a handful of his own hair, smacks him in the mouth, lifts him up, and then slams him over his knee with a pendulum backbreaker!

Carmine pops up to his feet and points at Sands, taunting him his the crowd rains on him with boos. Carmine steps over Sands’ back, and locks his hands around his chin before sitting back on his back. Carmine continues putting pressure on Sands’ back, wrenching back on the hold until Sands gets on his knees, and pushes himself up to his feet with Carmine on his back. Sands steps back until he drives Carmine spine first to the turnbuckles, then spins around and unloads with kicks to the midsection, followed by a high kick to the mouth! The kick sends some spit flying out of Tony’s mouth, allowing Sands to lift Tony up and sit him on the top turnbuckle!

Kris Cruise: Looks like Sands wants to fly!

Stephy Auger: Don’t know what he’s going for here, Cris, but Carmine might be in trouble.

Sands his Carmine with a couple of right as he gets up to the middle turnbuckles. He climbs to the top rope and nails Carmine with a right hand. Sands catches his balance and goes for a big hurricanrana, but Carmine blocks it and uses his strength to pull Sands back up for the big sitout powerbomb from the top rope! Carmine stays in position and puts his legs overtop of Sands’ arms for the cover…

Sands gets his shoulder out from underneath Carmine’s leg and breaks the fall. Carmine shoves Sands away and gets to his feet, clutching at his lower impact. He stumbles toward Sands, lifts him to his feet, and takes him down to the mat with a snap suplex. Carmine stomps down on Sands’ midsection, and then jumps in the air to connect with a standing double footstomp. Carmine yells “I’m better than you!” in Sands face before he spins Sands on his side and hits with a soccer kick back to the spine. Carmine spins Sands on his gut, follows it with not one but two knees to the back, and hits another standing double footstomp, this time to the lower back of Sands!


Stephy Auger: Carmine has really been targeting that lower back of Sands after that tilt a whirl earlier.

Kris Cruise: It’s a smart move by the former Pride Champion. You take out the back and you take out a good chunk of Sands’ offense.

Carmine once again sits down on Sands back, but this time he throws Sands arms over his knees before rearing back on the jaw for the camel clutch! The fans clap their hands in an attempt to will him along, Carmine only wrenches back on the hold and tells the Spartanburg crowd to shut up. Sands somehow gets one of his arms free, and crawls toward the ropes but Carmine releases the hold, and drops another elbow to Sands’ lower back!

Sands clutches at his lower back, but Carmine goes right back to attack mode, lifting Sands up to his feet and sends him flying into the turnbuckles after a strong Irish whip. Sands drops to his knees, and Carmine was right there with a running dropkick to the face! Sands falls onto his back and Carmine makes the cover…

Sands gets his shoulder up breaking the count. Carmine lifts his weakened opponent up to his feet and goes for another pendulum backbreaker, but Sands punches Carmine before he lifts him up, and Sands hits Carmine with a Russian legsweep! Both men get to their feet simultaneously, but Sands strikes first with a roundhouse to the midsection, and then follows it with his patent “Face Meets Mat” Jumping DDT!

Kris Cruise: There’s the big move Sands needed!

Sands clutches at his back as he pulls his himself up to his feet with help from the ropes. The FGA World Champion looks over at the downed Carmine patiently waits for him to rise to his feet. Carmine gingerly gets up, but Sands nearly decapitates him with a running Yakuza kick to the face! Sands bends forward and clutches at his back, but he ignores the pain, lifts Carmine up to his feet, and hits him with a big dropkick! The dropkick sends Carmine out of the ring as Sands drops to a knee and rests his hand on his locker back.

Stephy Auger: Looks like Sands finally has control of this match, but the damage might already be done.

Kris Cruise: Don’t count Sands out yet. If anyone could pull this off, it’s him.

Sands stands up and watches as Carmine struggles back to his feet. With the opening right there, Sands bounces off the ropes and goes soaring out of the ring, connecting with a suicide dive on Carmine! Sands pops right up to his feet, but immediately slouches over. He gingerly walks over to Tony, lifts him up and tosses him in the ring. Sands hops onto the apron with a knee, pulls himself up using the ropes, and slingshot himself into the ring and onto Carmine with a legdrop! Sands clutches at his back, but finds a way to make the cover…

Carmine kicks out to boos from the crowd. Sands slaps the mat out of frustration and pushes himself to his feet. He grabs a hold of Carmine’s head and pulls him up with him, but Carmine comes out of nowhere with a discus elbow! Sands bounces back off the ropes and Carmine catches him with a rebound hurricanrana! Carmine turns his head over his shoulder and sees Sands grounded. He slides underneath the bottom rope and begins perching up to the top rope!
Stephy Auger: Looks like Carmine is ready to finish Sands off!

Carmine gets to the top and catches his balance, but Sands scrambles up to his feet and pulls Carmine’s leg from under him! Carmine lands hard on the top turnbuckle, but Sands was right there to rip Carmine down. With Carmine grounded, it was Sands turn to climb to the top rope as he looks down and sees Carmine back to his feet! Carmine climbs up the turnbuckles, hooks Sands arm, and executes the arm drag from the top rope! Sands lands hard on his back as Carmine slides back and patiently waits for Sands to get up.

Kris Cruise: You already know what comes next!

Sands gets to one knee and spins around as Carmine charges forward and…

Stephy Auger: PIMP SHIT!

No! Sands ducks out of the way! Carmine immediately pops up to his feet, but Sands leap frogs over his head and connects with his trademark fameasser! Sands clutches his back, but manages to spin Tony onto his back and make the cover…

Carmine just barely gets his shoulder up before the referees hand slaps the mat for the three! Sands double checks the count with the referee as he uses the ropes to pull himself up to his feet. Sands motions for the end as he waits for Carmine to get to his feet.

Kris Cruise: Think he’s thinking Sand Attack here!

Carmine pulls himself up to his feet, and Sands goes for the jumping reverse bulldog, but Carmine hangs onto the ropes! Sands lands hard on his back and the back of his head, allowing Carmine full forward for the jackknife pin!

Sands kicks out just before the referees hand was coming down for the three! Carmine pulls himself to his feet and immediately darts towards Sands. He grabs a hold of his hair and pulls him to his feet and hits a stiff discus elbow to the face! Sands bounces off the ropes and connects with an elbow to the face of his own on Carmine! Carmine stumbles back a few steps as Sands hobbles toward him, only for Carmine to him with a dropkick to the knee! Sands drops to one knee as Carmine slides in for the low angle DDT, but Sands pops up and turns it into a Northern Lights Suplex with the pin!

Carmine kicks out right before the referees hand was coming down for the three! Sands and the crowd can’t believe it as Sands raises three fingers at the referees two. Sands turns his head toward Carmine and waits for him to get up. Once he’s up, Sands goes in for a quick strike, but Carmine blocks it and takes Sands down with an STO! Both men are down after the back and forth exchange and the referee starts his ten count!

“ONE…”

Only Carmine shows some life as he crawls toward the ropes nearest to him.

“FIVE…”

“SIX…”

Sands begins to show some life, but Carmine is back to his feet. He sees Sands down and tells the referee to count faster.

“SEVEN…”

“EIGHT…”

Stephy Auger: Sands gets to the ropes and wraps his arms around them but it might be too late!

“NINE…”

Sands pulls himself up to his feet to a big pop from the crowd, but to the chagrin of Carmine. Tony grabs his opponent and doubles him over with a toe kick to the midsection before positioning him for a piledriver – NO! Sands counters with a back body drop out of nowhere. Carmine hits the mat back first, but quickly pops back to his feet. His back is arched in pain as he lunges forward with a lariat attempt, only for it to be ducked and countered by the Sand Attack! Sands hooks both legs!

Tony gets the shoulder up, but just a moment too late as the referee calls for the bell.

J.A. Aldridge: Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of this match, SEAN SANDS!

Kris Cruise: He did it, Sean Sands bouncing back from the pain of A New Odyssey last month.

Stephy Auger: And look at Tony Carmine, he can’t quite believe it, Kris.

Kris Cruise: I don’t think Sands can either; he stole that victory from the clutches of Tony Carmine, and the former Pride champion can’t be pleased right now.

The sound of an organ plays throughout the arena as the fans turn their attention to the entrance way. As "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple kicks in, the crowd begins to boo, jeer and show various other forms of displeasure. At around the 30 second mark, Chandler Scott pushes through the curtain as the crowd really begins to let him have it. After scanning the crowd, Chandler raises his index finger in the air, letting everyone know who is truly "number one." He keeps a smug look planted on his face as he swaggers down to the ring. After climbing up onto the apron, Chandler steps through the ropes and gets handed a mic. One the music dies down, the crowd is still rowdy, jeering, booing and yelling various vulgar insults his way. But Chandler just smirks as he slowly raises the World Championship in the air. But this doesn’t silence the crowd. If anything, it only riles them up even more. But Chandler wouldn’t have it any other way...

Chandler Scott: You know, I can never get enough of this. Being in the spotlight. Holding this gold in my hand. Knowing that each and every single one of you rats wish that you could be as cool as me. But above all else, I love knowing that all of you so-called stars in the back envy the position that I’m in. But not just in this company, not just in this business, but in life as well.

You’ve got Dan Herrera…

(The crowd claps at the mention of Dan’s name)

Chandler Scott: … who thinks that tonight is going to be a reversal of fortunes of him. Rumors are going around that tonight we’re going to see a “new and improved” Dan Herrera. Which is weird, because weren't we supposed to see a new and improved Dan Herrera the last time we were in the ring?

(Chandler scratches his chin as he pretends to think back.)

Chandler Scott: Weren’t things supposed to be different the last time we squared off? You know, Dan, I would believe these things you’re saying. But I know better. History as shown that you’re a compulsive liar and I can line up a good two dozen ex-GDW wrestlers that would agree. Try all you want, but tonight, you will go down to me, just like you always have. And not your Bros, your girl, or even your sister is going to stop me from dropping you on your head.

Then there’s Sean Sands…

(The crowd pops at the mention of Sands’ name.)

Chandler Scott: Yeah, Sean Sands, a man who thinks that there’s still a chapter to be written in his little redemption story. Cute. But you see, Sean, I closed your book at A New Odyssey. I slammed it shut. You had your chance and surprise, surprise, you choked. But you know what? I take that back because you see, choking would be giving you too much credit. Choking would imply that you had the match won but you somehow let it slip away. Anyone that saw that Fatal 4-Way knows that you never had a firm grasp on anything. Sean Sands didn’t let that match slip away. Sean Sands didn’t let the World Championship slip through his hands. I yanked it out of his hands and took it, along with his pride. If you’re thinking a Gold Rush Rumble is going to change things, then you’re sadly mistaken. When it comes to me and you, you’re still nothing more than a little man that’s trying to break out of my shadow. Get used to the view, loser.

Then, there’s Cordy Stevenson…

(The crowd goes wild at the mention of Saint Sexy. Even a Cordy chant breaks out, which gets an eyeroll from the champ.)

Chandler Scott: I’m not about to give her anymore of my time. So let me switch gears from one delusional FGA wrestler to another and that… is Jimmy Page.

(The crowd bursts into boos at the mention of the former World Champion.)

Chandler Scott: Oh Page, how I’ve enjoyed watching you run around like a chicken with its head cut off. You’ve searched high and low for “your” championship, haven’t you? Oh where oh where could it be? Maybe you didn’t misplace it. Maybe it wasn't stolen from you. Maybe it was simply taken from you. Yeah, I think that’s it. I think it because I know it’s true. I know it’s true because I’m the one that did it. That’s right, Page. Is reality slowly starting to set in for Poor Lil Jimmy? Have you finally come to grips that you l-o-s-t LOST your championship? Because if you haven’t, then I’ll be glad to remind you again… at Glory Road.

I hope your dance card isn’t filled up on that night because I would like to extend to you an opportunity. An opportunity to get your ass handed to you yet again by the DNA of FGA. That’s right, smart guy. Me and you, one more time. Except this time, we can keep those pesky wrestlers masquerading themselves as contenders and challengers out of the equation. Page storms out from the back, he walks into the ring and makes a B-line pass Scott. He demands a microphone, and when it arrives he snatches it away and glares at Scott with his hand out.

Jimmy Page: Give it back.

Chandler quirks an eyebrow and then breaks into a chuckle. Page keeps his eyes down, his hand still out.

Jimmy Page: Give it back...now. Give it back to me, right now. Give it back!!!!

Page's eyes become red with anger.

Jimmy Page: NOW!!!!

Chandler Scott: DAAAAAAAAAAAAW! What’s the matter? You want “your” belt? You’re lucky I’m not pulling a Dom Harter by making you get on your hands and knees and begging for it back.

Jimmy Page: YOU LISTEN TO ME YOU FUCKING RELIC: I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT YOU!!! YOU HAVE SOMETHING OF MINE!!! YOU HAVE MY LIFE-LINE IN YOUR HANDS!!! YOU ARE BENEATH ME!!! Page glares into Chandler's eyes.

Jimmy Page: I have beaten everybody in that back, I have etched a piece of history into FGA; And I will continue to. You can say you're going to stop me; You can try and be nonchalant about this; Believe, spare me your superiority complex, and come back to Earth; ONE on ONE Chandler Scott would be just some can who's resume is a little too good for him. ONE on ONE Chandler Scott would get the ass kicking of a lifetime; ONE on ONE Chandler Scott wouldn't be able to stand up on his own, he wouldn't be able to eat on his own, HE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO USE A TOILET ON HIS OWN, BECAUSE CHANDLER SCOTT WOULD GET THE BEATING OF A LIFETIME, BY...ME...!!!! Chandler looks at the title, the fans in the crowd tell him to not do it. Chandler brushes his hair back and looks at Jimmy with a solemn expression. Page is still demanding the belt be put in his hands. "NO! NO! NO!" chants begin as Chandler then slowly hands the belt over. Page looks at it, almost as if he's in a trance and goes to reach for it, he grabs it.....



SMACK!!!!



A Harvard Hammer appears, and knocks Page out. Page is laid out and Chandler curses him out. His music plays, and he grabs the FGA World Championship from Page's grasp, almost snatching it away. Chandler rolls out of the ring and to the back with a toothy grin. Page slowly begins to come to. His eyes wander, as if he was searching for something. He turns his attention to Chandler who gives a sarcastic wave, and holds the title up. "IT'S RIGHT HERE...!!!" He shouts at Page who's fuming.

Ashley Sullivan vs. Cyncity

The beginning of "Pretty Little Psycho" by Porcelain Black plays over the sound system until it's cut off by a sirens. The lights in the arena dim down to nothing as the static is replaced by the sounds of the audiences jeers and cheers.

Oh, oh, oh!
Oh, here we go!
Walkin', talkin' like you know I want your pretty little psycho!

When the beat kicks in heavily, Cyncity bursts out onto the ramp with her arms out to her side, pretending to be an airplane as she runs up and down the top of the ramp. When she's done messing around, she smiles and makes her way back to the top of the ramp. She stands at there for a moment, scanning the crowd, and feeding from their energy before she makes her way down the ramp, throwing her right arm in the air, taking in the audiences cheers.. She stops midway down the ramp and scans the crowd one more time, nodding her head and giving the audience a round of applause. She spins in a circle and does her trademark Sex Sells pose, her arms in the air, and buttom pushed out. Fans in attendance are heard whistling in her direction, as she breaks her pose and blows kisses to the audience.

J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Weighing in at 127 pounds… CYNCITY!

She slaps the hands of a few lucky fans, and even gives a few of them a hug as she marches her way down the ramp. She finally pulls away from the fans then continues her quickened pace toward the ring.

Kris Cruise: Cindy Parker hasn’t been making any new friends with her antics over the past several months.

Stephy Auger: Exactly. You can add Ashley Sullivan to the list of people that have an issues with Cindy. It was three weeks ago in Charlotte that Cindy took a steel chair to the back of Ashley’s head.

The arena lights dim ever so slightly and turn to a mix of pink and purple as "Crash" by Fit For Rivals begins playing. Ashley comes bursting out from behind the entrance with a skip to stand out on the stage holding up her tag title belt for a few seconds.

J.A. Aldridge: And her opponent, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Weighing in at 115 pounds! She is one half of the reigning FGA World Tag Team Champions… ASHLEY SULLIVAN!

Feeling the energy of the arena, she runs down the ramp towards the ring. Reaching ringside, Ashley leaps up to the apron before climbing the turnbuckle from the outside and holds her title belt closely as she sits on the top turnbuckle.

Kris Cruise: Ashley Sullivan is not in the mood for Cyncity’s game. Ashley had the match won for her team three weeks ago. That is, until Cindy stole the victory from her by hitting her with a steel chair.

Stephy Auger: She certainly hasn’t forgotten and is looking to to get even with Cindy. But Ashley can’t have tunnel vision. Her and Colton have a huge match with The Spitfires coming up. And with M.B.S. and others lurking in the background, who knows who's going to come out of the woodwork and make a name for themselves by attacking one of, if not both of the Tag Team Champions.

The bell sounds as both grapplers race towards the center of the ring. Sullivan throws out a clothesline, but Cyncity ducks. When both turn around, Cyncity runs over and throws out a clothesline, but Sullivan ducks. When they both turn around, they meet each other with right hands.

Kris Cruise: Here we go as neither woman is wasting time!

Stephy Auger: The fists are flying early, Kris!

Both women continue to trade blows until Sullivan gains the upperhand. She then takes Cyncity and whips her into the ropes. When Cyncity comes back, Sullivan knocks her down with a Lou Thesz Press. She hammers away on Cyncity with right hands to cheers from the crowd. But the cheers turn to boos as Cyncity rolls over on top of Sullivan and nails her with a series of right hands of her own. But the momentum swings back in Sullivan’s favor as she rolls over on Cyncity. She grabs two handfuls of Cyncity’s hair and repeatedly rams the back of her head against the canvas. Sullivan continues her assault until Cyncity reaches up and rakes her across the eyes. When Cyncity rolls over, she takes them both over the bottom rope and to the floor. After they land on their feet, Cyncity quickly takes Sullivan and rams her back-first against the barricade. The crowd boos as Cyncity pulls Sullivan away, only to ram her back-first against the barricade once again. She then takes Sullivan and tries to whip her into the side of the ring. But Sullivan puts on the brakes as she places her palms against the edge of the apron. Cyncity goes over to attack, but she gets an elbow to the face for her troubles. After quickly climbing up onto the apron, Sullivan connects with an arabian press moonsault on Cyncity, knocking her down to cheers from the crowd. Sullivan picks up Cyncity and rolls her back into the ring.

Kris Cruise: These two have been more aggressive than usual in the early goings of this match. But it’s Ashley Sullivan that’s come out on top for now.

Stephy Auger: It looks like she’s about to make the cover. No wait...

Sullivan reaches in, grabs Cyncity by the hair and pulls her back out onto the apron. After climbing back up onto the apron, Sullivan steps back before delivering a leg drop across the apron to cheers from the crowd. She then rolls back in and makes the cover.

Sullivan picks up Cyncity and whips her into the corner. Sullivan then runs across the ring. But Cyncity dips her shoulder and dumps Sullivan over the top rope…

… but Sullivan lands on her feet. When Cyncity turns around, Sullivan delivers a shoulder thrust through the ropes. While Cyncity’s doubled over, Sullivan goes for a sunset flip. But Cyncity rolls through it and counters with a front dropkick to the face. The crowd boos as she makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Boy, these two have really been going at it.

Stephy Auger: You’ve got to know that deep down, Cindy would love nothing more than to have one of those Tag Titles be around her waist. It probably irks her that Ashley, someone she feels is inferior to her, was able to obtain gold here in FGA before her.

Cyncity picks up Sullivan and knees her in the midsection, doubling her over. She then grabs Sullivan, runs and tosses her over the top rope. But while Cyncity turns and raises her arms towards the crowd, Sullivan grabbed onto the top rope. After reaching her other hand up and grabbing the top rope, Sullivan “skins the cat,” pulling herself over the top rope and back into the ring. When Cyncity turns around, Sullivan darts over and connects with a clothesline, sending Cyncity over the top rope and to the floor. The crowd cheers as Cyncity falls hard on the floor.

Kris Cruise: Cyncity thought she had Ashley. But she turned her back to her opponent and Ashley made her pay.

As Cyncity stirs around on the outside, Sullivan can be seen hopping up and down, waiting impatiently for Cyncity to get in position. Once Cyncity begins to slowly get back to her feet, Sullivan takes off into the ropes. When Cycnity turns around, Sullivan charges forward and leaps through the ropes, knocking her into the barricade with a suicide dive to cheers from the crowd.

Stephy Auger: A huge suicide dive by Ashley Sullivan! She hurled herself through the ropes and sent Cyncity crashing against the barricade!

While Cyncity’s down on the outside, Sullivan pulls up the ring skirt, reaches underneath the ring… and pulls out a steel chair. The crowd cheers as Sullivan tosses the chair into the ring. She then picks up Cyncity and rolls her into the ring before rolling herself back in.

Kris Cruise: Business is about to pick up now.

Stephy Auger: Ashley’s about to give Cyncity a taste of her own medicine.

Sullivan scoops up the chair, heads across the ring and stuffs the chair between the middle and top turnbuckles. After making her way back across the ring, she goes to pick up Cyncity. But Cyncity quickly rolls her up with a small package.

After both grapplers scramble to get back to their feet, Cyncity rakes Sullivan across the eyes, sending her stumbling into the ropes. Cyncity then goes over and rakes Sullivan hard across the back, causing Sullivan to arch her back. After grabbing Sullivan from behind, Cyncity heads into the corner and slams her face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Sullivan around, Cyncity nails her with a knife-edge chop. She then takes Sullivan and goes for an irish whip. But Sullivan reverses, sending Cyncity towards the corner with the chair. But instead of crashing into the chair, Cyncity slignshots herself over the top rope and onto the apron. She then motions for Sullivan to bring it. Sullivan is more than happy to oblige as she runs over at Cyncity. Just as Sullivan’s about to attack, Cyncity slides through her legs. When Sullivan turns around, Cyncity kicks her in the midsection. While Sullivan’s doubled over, Cyncity snatchs the chair from out of the corner and raises it up to hit Sullivan with it. But the ref comes from behind and snatches the chair out of Cyncity’s hands. The crowd cheers as the ref takes the chair and tosses it to the outside.

Kris Cruise: Cyncity was about to hit her across the head with a chair for the second show in a row!

Stephy Auger: Good thing the ref saw it coming and snatched the chair away from her!

While Cyncity yells at the ref for taking the chair away from her, Sullivan comes up from behind and drives her down with a reverse russian leg sweep. She turns Cyncity over and makes the cover.

But Sullivan falls back, delivers an electric chair to cheers from the crowd. As Cyncity slowly gets back up, Sullivan runs over and brings her down with a one handed bulldog. She turns Cyncity over and makes the cover.

But Cyncity stops, grabs Sullivan, runs and throws her shoulder-first into the ring post. As Sullivan stumbles back, Cyncity grabs her from behind and delivers the Glitter Driver. Kris Cruise: Cindy’s starting to get frustrated. Bad things happen when she gets frustrated, Stephy.

Cyncity picks up Sullivan and whips her into the corner. But Sullivan uses the momentum to run up the turnbuckles. When she gets to the top, she goes for a moonsault. But Cyncity runs out of the way, causing Sullivan to crash onto the canvas. Cyncity then scales the turnbuckles before going for the Emphatic Whispers. But Sullivan rolls out of the way, causing Cyncity to crash back-first on the canvas to cheers from the crowd.

Kris Cruise: The high risk doesn’t pay off and now both women are down!

After both grapplers slowly get up, Sullivan runs over and connects with a cross body block, sending her and Cyncity over the top rope and to the floor to cheers from the crowd.

Stephy Auger: Both Cyncity and Ashley took a hard fall to the outside! Which one of them is going to make it back into the ring?

After checking on both grapplers, the ref starts his count.

Spencer Burke: With me right now is the reigning FGA World Champion, Chandler Scott. Chandler, tonight you take on Dan Herrera in the main event. Do you have any final thoughts going into your match against Herrera?

(Chandler smirks at the thought of Dan Herrera.)

Chandler Scott: What do I have to say about Herrera that hasn’t already been said? He’s a little man that’s punching well above his weight class by going up against me. I punked him out in my first match upon my return. Now, everything comes full tonight, where I once again knock him out in the middle of the ring. My good buddy Cindy Parker has spent the better part of the last six months making a fool out of him. Now, I get to pick up where she left off. It’s as simple as that, Burke. Tonight, Dan will fall at my feet once again, thus taking his rightful place in this company and in life.

Spencer Burke: Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t bring up Sean Sands. Sands has declared himself for the Gold Rush Rumble. Do you care to comment?

(Chandler rolls his eyes.)

Chandler Scott: I’d prefer not to give Sean Sands any more of my time because he simply isn’t worth it. That man has spent the past several months trying and failing to live up to my legacy elsewhere. Then he decides to come back to FGA and try to make my life a living hell. Well if me walking over him en route to winning this championship is him giving my life hell, then I have him to thank for making my life so miserable. Sands can do whatever he wants. So what if he entered the Gold Rush Rumble? What does that mean to me? That he’s too stupid to realize that he’s outmatched against me? That he’s too stubborn to know when to quit? Sands is a lot of things. But being better than me is something that he’ll never be. That was on full display at A New Odyssey and if by some miracle he wins the Gold Rush Rumble, I’ll make it perfectly clear again. I crushed his dreams when I regained this championship. I ruined his redemption story. If he’s able to win the Gold Rush Rumble, I’ll pull the rug out from under him again. And that goes for anyone else that wants to enter the Gol-

(Chandler’s cuts himself off as his attention goes somewhere else. It goes to Cordy Stevenson, who he sees out of the corner of his eye.)

Chandler Scott: Well, well, well. Look who it is. If it isn’t the cheater, Cordy Stevenson. Now what do you want? Just what are you doing lurking around here, huh? You trying to get a better glimpse of this belt that you’ll never win? Well I suggest you take a good, long look, chica. Because as long as the DNA of FGA is around, this belt will never be yours. Never.

(A small smirk appears on Cordelia's face as she steps into the scene. She breaks into a sarcastic golf clap as she steps towards the champion.)

Cordelia Stevenson: Chandler, Chandler, Chandler. I'm just going to completely ignore that cheater comment you made, because clearly, you just have no idea what exemplary teamwork is, anymore.

(She says, her smile widening as she shows she can spin a situation just as well as he can.)

Cordelia Stevenson: But, yes... you're just the man I wanted to see actually. Silly me, I've been all around here looking for you when I should have known from jump that you'd probably be right here, doing what you do best and flapping your gums as usual. But, there's no need to run this time Chandler, I come in peace, buddy. I see you're already in your sprinter's stance and ready to take off, but chill. I'm only here to deliver a message, and I felt I'd at least have the courtesy and decency to give it to ya face to face.

(She looks him up and down, her gaze lingering on the FGA championship before finding his eyes once more.)

Cordelia Stevenson:Champ. And as a matter of fact, I'm kind of glad that Spencey is here. I guess I can sorta kill two birds with one stone, if ya will.

Chandler Scott: Now why don’t you hold on for just a second. I know what this is all about. I know what your real issue is with me. It’s not the fact that you can’t stand my antics or the people I associate with. It’s not the fact that you’ve still have yet to pin these shoulders to the mat. It’s the fact that you want what you can’t have and it makes you sick. But Cordy, I’m not talking about you wanting this title. Oh no. I’m talking about you wanting me.

(Cordy looks at Spencer in disbelief. He shrugs. She glances back at Chandler with an amused smirk on her face as she shifts her weight from one foot to the other and crosses her arms across her chest.)

Chandler Scott: You can scoff at that all you want. But I see the way you look at me. I see you looking at me with those hungry eyes… those lustful eyes. You want to be bae. It’s the reason why you’ve curved that poor sap Riley Owens. I know you, Cordy. I know your type. You don’t want a nerd like Riley. You don’t want someone that’s so needy that he clings to your arm for dear life. You want a real man. And it gets no realer than yours truly. Unfortunately, I’m not interested, so I suggest you get to steppin. You’re not getting me and you’re definitely not getting my title. Now what do you have to say to that, chica?

(After hearing Chandler’s skewed logic, Cordelia can’t help but to laugh.)

Cordelia Stevenson: You…

(She shakes a finger at him.)

Cordelia Stevenson: You are absolutely hilarious, you know that? So that’s what it boils down to, huh Chandler? I just can’t stay away from all of… this.

(She looks him up and down, stepping back and waving a hand at him as if she’s showing off some sort of prize on the Price is Right. Chandler curls his fingers inward, blows his breath on them and then rubs his fingernails across his shirt. She shakes her head, as she rests her hands on her hips.)

Cordelia Stevenson: A quote unquote, “Real Man.” I guess I’m just driven by some sort of repressed sexual tension when it comes to you then huh?

(She nods her head as if thinking this over for a second. Chandler shakes his head in agreement with her statement.)

Cordelia Stevenson: I would have said that you were on to something, except… I already know that you just aren’t my type Chandler. I mean, I’m a pretty aggressive girl, and it takes a pretty strong man to handle me and quite frankly…

(She brushes a loose strand of her hair from in front of her face as she lets out a hissing sound.)

Cordelia Stevenson: that isn’t you. You see, I like my man to come get it, Chandler...

(She steps forward to him, looking him dead in his eyes.)

Cordelia Stevenson: ...Not run from it.

(She cocks her head to the side and grins up at him. Burke’s eyes widen as he can’t believe Cordy just said what she said. The cocky smirk that was on Chandler’s face has transformed into a scowl.)

Cordelia Stevenson: So no, I don't want you to be...

(She shudders.)

Cordelia Stevenson: Bae.

(She frowns.)

Cordelia Stevenson: God I hate that damn word. But you know, you were right about one thing, Chandler. When you look at me, you do see a hunger in my eyes. A hunger for success. A hunger for more. And eventually, that hunger will lead me to you, Chandler, and more importantly...

(She turns her attention towards the FGA World Championship, and points at it.)

Cordelia Stevenson: It will lead me to that. And when it does Mr. Scott, just know that there will be absolutely no place for you to run.

(She smiles brightly, stretching her arms out to the sides)

Cordelia Stevenson: Which brings me to the reason I am here...

(She turns and nods at Spencer, before turning her attention back towards Chandler.)

Cordelia Stevenson: I just wanted to tell you to your face… that you’re officially on borrowed time with that, Chandler.

(She says, nodding towards the title.)

Cordelia Stevenson: Because right here and right now, I am announcing that I will be in this year’s Gold... Rush... Rumble.

(Her eyes sparkle in satisfaction just seeing the look on his face.)

Cordelia Stevenson: And when I win, Chandler?

(She gives a soft chuckle as she steps forward directly into his face.)

Cordelia Stevenson: Just know, that there will be absolutely no place for you to run.

(The two stare each other down, before Cordy playfully blows him a kiss and pats him on the shoulder.)

Cordelia Stevenson: So get familiar… champ.

(She flashes another radiant smile as she turns and saunters off. Chandler then begins to slowly wipe off the shoulder that she just touched.)

Spencer Burke: Wow, those were some strong words there from Cor-

Chandler Scott: Shut up, Burke!

(Chandler doesn’t even look in Spencer’s direction. He continues to eye Cordy, long after she’s out of his line of sight.)

Chandler Scott: I’m on borrowed time? Borrowed time my ass! The only thing on borrowed time is her career. You would think someone as smart as her would know better. But she’s just as stubborn as Dan Herrera. But it’s okay. It’s all good, Burke. She’s going to get hers. Trust me. She is going to get hers!

(Chandler turns and stomps away in the opposite direction, leaving Spencer to send it back to ringside.)

(When the first bass drum thumps, Dan pulls the curtain back and walks out from behind the curtain with his girlfriend Peaches hanging onto his arm. He gives a head nod to the fans before leaning over and giving Peaches a long kiss at the top of the ramp. He then begins heading towards the ring as a spotlight stays on them)

J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is your main event of the evening! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by Peaches! Now residing out of Raleigh, North Carolina and weighing in at 215 pounds… he is “The Boss” DAN HERRERA!

(As Dan and Peaches make their way to the ring Dan slaps hands with the fans on one side of the entrance-way while Peaches walks down the other side slapping hands with the fans there. At the bottom of the entrance way, Peaches leans in and gives Dan a peck on the cheek as the pair go their separate ways. Dan gets to the ring and walks up the stairs. He swings around the ring post and ducks between the top and middle rope. Peaches on the other hand walks around the ring apron towards the commentary desk where she finds a folding chair waiting for her next to the ring announcer. Once in the ring Dan walks over showing his taped wrists to the referee who nods at him and sends him to his corner. He grabs the ropes on either side of the turnbuckle and leans in with his head down prepping himself for the match to begin.)

Kris Cruise: Dan Herrera has been coming off a string of tough losses. But what happened at A New Odyssey may be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

Stephy Auger: Definitely. I talked to Dan earlier today and there seems to be a new edge to him. He’s still the same stand up guy that we all know and love. But I think he’s come to the conclusion that he can’t keep running the same plays anymore. Tonight, we might see a more aggressive version of Dan Herrera.

The sound of an organ plays throughout the arena as the fans turn their attention to the entrance way. As "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple kicks in, the crowd begins to boo, jeer and show various other forms of displeasure. At around the 30 second mark, Chandler Scott pushes through the curtain as the crowd really begins to let him have it.

J.A. Aldridge: And his opponent, from Hyannis, Massachusetts! Weighing in at 245 pounds! He is the reigning, defending FGA World Champion! He is… CHANDLER SCOTT!

After scanning the crowd, Chandler raises his index finger in the air, letting everyone know who is truly "number one." He keeps a smug look planted on his face as he swaggers down to the ring. After climbing up onto the apron, Chandler steps through the ropes, climbs up onto the second ropes and slowly raises his fist in the air as he absorbs the crowd's disdain for him.

Kris Cruise: Chandler Scott hasn’t yapping since he regained the FGA World Championship at A New Odyssey. But tonight, his mouth may finally catch up to him.

Stephy Auger: It just might. Chandler hasn’t let up at all since the big win two months ago. “Win with humility” and “act like you’ve been there before” are phrases that are foreign to him. But as you alluded to before, tonight may be the night that he can’t back up his mouth. Dan seems pretty determined to turn the page and start a new chapter. What better way to start off that chapter than a win over the champ? That could do a lot for Dan, potentially vaulting him towards the top of the contenders list in FGA.

Kris Cruise: It may. But Chandler is the champion for a reason. As grating as he can be, the man knows how to get the job done. He’s gotten it done against Dan Herrera in every one of their meetings. Tonight could be more of the same. We’ll find out shortly...

The bell sounds as Herrera runs across the ring, scoops up Chandler with a double leg pickup and rams him back-first into the corner. The crowd cheers as Herrera lunges forward, delivering a series of shoulder thrusts that nearly drive all the air out of Chandler.

Kris Cruise: Dan isn’t wasting any time as he goes right after Chandler!

Stephy Auger: It looks like he caught Chandler off guard and now the champ is in a bad way!

Herrera takes the World Champ and whips him hard into the opposite corner. As Chandler stumbles from out of the corner, Herrera leans forward before dumping Chandler with a back body drop. Chandler gets back to his feet, but Herrera steamrolls over him with a running shoulderblock. Chandler gets back to his feet, but Herrera runs over him again with another shoulder tackle to cheers from the crowd. Once a dazed Chandler gets up and turns around, he turns into a spinning heel kick. The crowd cheers as Herrera makes the cover.

Herrera picks up Chandler, runs into the corner and slams his head into the top turnbuckle. After turning Chandler around, Herrera unleashes a series of knife-edge chops that echo throughout the arena. He then lunges forward, grasping Chandler by the neck with both hands. The crowd cheers as Herrera tries to choke the life out of Chandler. But the ref is having none of this. So he gives Herrera until the count of five to break the hold.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… FIV-

Herrera breaks the hold. But the ref scolds him. He reprimands Herrera, letting him know that if he wants a hold broken by the five count, then he wants it broken before five!

Kris Cruise: Dan has been on fire in the early goings of this match.

Stephy Auger: He has. He’s also flirting with getting himself disqualified. He better get himself in check before this match gets handed to Chandler.

Herrera then nudges the ref out of the way before turning back to Chandler. But Chandler takes advantage of the distraction, delivering thumb to the eye as the crowd boos.

Stephy Auger: His anger cost him right there. He took his eyes off the champ and Chandler made him pay.

Chandler grabs a doubled over Herrera and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Herrera around, Chandler delivers a series of chops of his own. He then takes Herrera and goes for an irish whip. But Herrera reverses, sending Chandler into the opposite corner. Herrera then charges over towards Chandler. But Chandler catches him with a European Uppercut, sending Herrera stumbling back. Chandler then runs from out of the corner. But Herrera scoops him up and counters with a samoan drop. The crowd cheers as he turns over and makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: Solid counter there by Dan for two. With Glory Road still a little under a month away, that World Title scene is fairly open. If Dan got himself a win here tonight, it could potentially secure himself a championship match.

Herrera picks up Chandler, runs and tosses him over the top rope and to the floor. The crowd cheers as Chandler lands hard on the outside.

Stephy Auger: Chandler looks to be in a bad way after being hurled to the outside. A fire has definitely been lit under Dan and it is showing in this match!

After dropping down on his back, Herrera rolls out of the ring and puts the boots to Chandler. He then mounts himself on top of the champion and hammers down with fists to the face. After picking up Chandler, Herrera runs forward and slams him face-first into the ring post, sending Chandler tumbling to the ground. Herrera rolls back in, then back out to restart the count. He begins to stalk Chandler until pouncing on him with another series of stomps. Herrera reaches down, picks up Chandler and whips him hard into the barricade. Upon impact, Chandler arches his back and falls to his knees. After falling on all fours, Herrera delivers a kick to the ribs, knocking Chandler over onto his back. Once again, Herrera mounts himself on top of Chandler and hammers away with punches to cheers from the crowd.

Kris Cruise: Look at Dan connect with those punches.

Stephy Auger: Those closed fist punches, might I add.

The ref steps in and moves Herrera off of Chandler. The crowd begins to boo as the ref warns Herrera over the use of closed fists. But once again, Herrera ignores the ref’s warnings and nudges him out of the way. He then goes back over, picks up Chandler, runs and rolls him back into the ring. After rolling himself back in the ring, Herrera picks up Chandler and whips him back into the corner. He then charges over towards Chandler and connects with a stiff clothesline to cheers from the crowd. After moving Chandler out of the way, Herrera hoists himself up onto the middle ropes, grabs Chandler and goes for a tornado DDT. But instead of being spiked on the canvas, Chandler shoves Herrera off of him. After Herrera lands on his feet, he runs right back over towards Chandler. But Chandler ducks, sending Herrera over the top rope with a back body drop…

…. but Herrera lands on his feet on the apron. When Chandler turns around, spit flies out of his mouth after getting caught with a shoulder thrust through the ropes. While Chandler’s doubled over, Herrera slingshots himself over the top rope and delivers a sunset flip to cheers from the crowd…

Kris Cruise: Dan colcocked Chandler with that spinning elbow! But somehow, the champ got his shoulder up before three.

Herrera picks up Chandler and whips him into the ropes. When Chandler comes back, Herrera bends over to set up a back body drop. So Chandler counters with a kick to the face, sending Herrera stumbling back. Chandler then runs back into the ropes. When he comes back, Herrera turns him inside out with a lariat to cheers from the crowd. He makes the cover.

Chandler gets his shoulder up, causing the crowd to sigh, then boo.

Stephy Auger: Another close call there for Chandler Scott! I don’t think we’ve ever seen Dan Herrera wrestle with this level of intensity! He’s been relentless since the opening bell.

After delivering a scoop slam, Herrera steps through the ropes before making his way across the apron. He then begins to scale the turnbuckles. But once he’s near the top, Chandler runs over, leaps into the air and connects with a Textbook Dropkick, sending Herrera flying off the turnbuckles and to the floor. The crowd boos as Herrera lays writhing in pain on the outside. Instead of going to the outside to attack or throw him back in, Chandler motions for the ref to start the count.

Kris Cruise: Chandler isn’t even going to bother going after Dan. He’s going to let him get counted out. After that hard fall that Dan just took, he may be too hurt to get back to the ring.

Dan continues to lay in pain on the outside. Meanwhile, Chandler is motioning for the ref to count faster.

Cheers and applause are heard through the crowd as Herrera slowly pulls himself back up using the ropes. But the cheers turn to boos as Chandler heads over and rocks Herrera with a hard right hand. He then grabs Herrera and goes for a suplex back into the ring. But Herrera slips down from behind and rolls him up....

Both men try to be the first to get back to their feet. But Chandler beats Herrera and makes him back with a Knee Trembler, knocking Herrera down to boos from the crowd. Chandler pulls Herrera over towards him before making the cover.

Kris Cruise: That hard knee to the side of the head gets two. Chandler’s got a host of challengers who would love to have their crack at him and his championship. With the level of talent here in FGA, Chandler’s got to be on his A-game all the time.

Stephy Auger: He can’t relax now. If he rests and takes it easy for one show, that’s all the opening someone needs to swoop in and take what’s his.

Chandler picks up Herrera, heads into the corner and slams him face-first into the top turnbuckle. After turning Herrera around, Chandler doubles him over with a haymaker to the midsection. He then raises Herrera’s head slightly with one hand before rocking Herrera’s head back with a hard European Uppercut. He then nails Herrera with a knee to the midsection, only to follow up with a knee lift that sends him down to the canvas. After picking Herrera back up, Chandler sends Herrera into the opposite corner. He then charges across the ring, but Herrera nails him with a boot to the face to cheers from the crowd. After shaking off the blow, Chandler charges back into the corner. But this time, he gets an elbow to the face for his troubles. As Chandler stumbles back, Herrera moves out of the corner and bounces into the ropes. When he comes back, Chandler throws him down with a spinning spinebuster to boos from the crowd. He rolls across Herrera and hooks the leg…

Kris Cruise: Chandler threw dan spine-first onto the canvas! But Dan got his shoulder up!

Chandler picks up Herrera, scoops him up and delivers a rib breaker. After a jumping stomp to the midsection, Chandler picks up Herrera and whips him into the ropes. When Herrera comes back, Chandler delivers a kitchen sink to the midsection, sending Herrera flipping down to the canvas. While Herrera guards his ribs with his forearms, Chandler goes over, sits him up and applies a neck crank.

Stephy Auger: Chandler now trying to snap the neck of Dan Herrera in two. Easier said than done.

The ref asks Herrera if he wants to give up. But Herrera refuses to quit. So Chandler applies even more pressure, causing Herrera to cringe. He can be seen gritting his teeth while he groans in pain.

Kris Cruise: Dan’s got to fight his way back into this match. He had the control for so long. But Chandler was able to wrestle it away from him. The last thing Dan wants is another loss, especially another loss to Chandler. He wants to remind everyone that he is one of the major players here in FGA.

The crowd begins to stomp their feet in unison as they try to rally behind Herrera. Herrera slowly feeds off the energy of the crowd. After stirring on the canvas, Herrera rolls over onto his knees before getting back to a vertical base. He then nails Chandler with four elbows to the midsection, breaking the hold. While Chandler is doubled over, Herrera runs into the ropes. When he comes back, Chandler cuts him off with a lariat takedown. The crowd boos as he makes the cover.

Herrera gets his shoulder up. Chandler then looks over at the ref before clapping his hands three times.

Stephy Auger: Dan looked like he was almost back in this match. But Chandler slammed the brakes, stopping Dan’s momentum.

Chandler picks up Herrera before delivering another knee strike to the midsection. He then wraps his arms around Herrera’s waist, hoists him up across his shoulder and delivers a Canadian backbreaker drop to boos from the crowd. Herrera can be seen arching his back in pain before Chandler makes the cover.

Stephy Auger: Chandler’s slowly working over the back and neck, making it more and more difficult for Dan to hit his signature moves. If there’s one thing Chandler’s good at besides being a loudmouth, its his ability to dissect an opponent.

Chandler picks up Herrera and whips him into the ropes. When Herrera comes back, Chandler throws him down with a snap powerslam. He then pulls Herrera back up, grabs him around the waist and delivers a gutwrench suplex. He makes the cover.

Chandler picks up Herrera and whips him into the ropes. When Chandler comes back, Herrera throws out a clothesline. But Herrera ducks and runs into the ropes. When Herrera comes back, Chandler goes for a back elbow to the face. But again, Herrera ducks and runs into the ropes. When Herrera comes back, Chandler throws him down with a tilt-a-whirl sidewalk slam to boos from the crowd. He makes the cover.

Herrera gets his shoulder up to cheers from the crowd. Chandler turns to the ref and holds up three fingers. But the ref just shakes his head at Chandler and tells him it was only two.

Kris Cruise: Chandler’s getting visibly frustrated that he can’t put Dan away. This may just be what Dan needs to get back in this match.

Stephy Auger: Yeah, it looks like Chandler is more interested in complaining to the referee than winning this match.

Chandler picks up Herrera and brings him into the corner. After sitting him down across the top turnbuckle, Chandler climbs to the middles ropes and goes for a superplex. But Herrera blocks the move. So Chandler climbs up onto the top ropes, tightens his grip and tries for a superplex. But again, Herrera blocks the move. So Chandler lets go and throws out a right hand. But Herrera blocks and counters with a punch of his own. Chandler throws out another punch. But again, Herrera blocks it and counters with one of his own. He then nails Chandler with another punch… and another… and another… and another. Herrera then shoves Chandler back, sending him crashing back-first onto the canvas to cheers from the crowd.

Kris Cruise: A hard fall by Chandler Scott!

Stephy Auger: Dan just shoved Chandler off the top and set him crashing to the mat! This is Dan’s chance to get back in this match!

As Chandler slowly turns over onto all fours, Herrera slowly stands up on the top turnbuckle. Once Chandler finally gets back to his feet and turns around, he turns into a missile dropkick to cheers from the crowd. Herrera makes the cover.

Herrera picks up Chandler and whips him into the ropes. When Chandler comes back, Herrera connects with a punch to the midsection, doubling him over. He then hoists up Chandler and throws him down with the Final Word. He makes the cover.

Kris Cruise: How did he do that?

Stephy Auger: I thought it was three, as well.

Herrera picks up Chandler and whips him hard into the corner. The turnbuckles rattle as Chandler’s back collides with them. As Chandler stumbles from out of the corner, Herrera dips down, hoists him up and slams him down with the Wit’s End. The crowd explodes in cheers as Herrera follows up with the Texas Cloverleaf.

Kris Cruise: Forced Retirement!

Stephy Auger: Dan has his submission applied!

The ref asks Chandler if he wants to give up. But the only thing Chandler can go is groan in pain. So Herrera pulls back, causing the groans to get louder. The crowd continues to cheer as Chandler lays on the mat in agony. The ref again asks him if he wants to give up. Chandler finally answers him, shaking his head from side to side. Herrera can be heard yelling at Chandler to tap. But Chandler refuses to quit.

Kris Cruise: How much longer can he hang on for?

Stephy Auger: I don’t know. But he looks to be in tremendous pain, Kris.

Herrera continues to keep the hold applied. He pulls back some more, causing Chandler to cover his head with his arms. The ref asks him again if he wants to give up. But Chandler doesn’t respond.

Kris Cruise: Chandler may not be able to take much more of this, Stephy.

Chandler slowly places him palms down on the canvas, pushes himself up and begins to crawl his way towards the ropes. The crowd boos as begins to pull himself inch by inch towards the ropes. Herrera tries to squat down as far as he can while still maintaining control of the hold. It slows Chandler down. But it doesn’t stop him. After digging into the mat and struggling to pull himself forward, Chandler reaches out… and grabs the bottom rope, causing the crowd to erupt in boos. The ref then gives Herrera until the count of five to break the hold.

Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… FIVE!

The crowd explodes in cheers as Herrera refuses to break the hold. The cheers turn to boos as the ref has to physically pull Herrera off of Chandler. The ref then gets right in Herrera’s face. He yells at Herrera, telling him that he’s repeatedly warned him all match. But since Herrera has refused time and time again, he’s had enough. The ref then begins to motion for the bell. But Herrera reaches up and grabs the ref by the wrist. He then forces the ref to lower his arm as he shakes his head at the ref. He then the ref that the match is over when he says it’s over.

Kris Cruise: Dan’s letting the ref know who really runs the show in this match!

Stephy Auger: I don’t know, Kris. Dan is really riding that fine line here tonight.

Chandler runs up behind Herrera. But Herrera turns and catches him with a spear, causing the crowd to explode in cheers.

Kris Cruise: Dan with the spear! He nearly broke Chandler in half!

Stephy Auger: Chandler thought he could sneak up behind Dan. But Dan saw it coming the whole time!

Herrera picks up Chandler and hoists him up for the Final Word. But Chandler kicks his legs before slipping down from behind. He then shoves Herrera into the ropes. When Herrera comes back, Chandler takes him down with a swinging sitout sleeper slam to boos from the crowd. Chandler picks up Herrera, hooks his leg and plants him with a swinging fisherman neckbreaker. He then picks up Herrera, grabs him around the neck, turns and connects with a discus Iron Hammer to boos from the crowd. Chandler makes the cover…

“Perfect Strangers” blares throughout the arena as the crowd erupts in boos.

J.A. Aldridge: Here is your winner, CHANDLER SCOTT!

Chandler slowly gets back to his feet. He winces in pain as the ref raises his arm.

Kris Cruise: Chandler’s done it again. He’s once again bested Dan Herrera!

Stephy Auger: Give Dan Herrera all the credit in the world. He really brought the fight to Chandler in this match. He might have caught Chandler off guard. Chandler might have underestimated him. But it doesn’t change the fact that Dan Herrera nearly toppled the champion. Unfortunately for him, Chandler was just a step too fast. All a guy as talented as Chandler needs is one small opening in the match. If you give him that, he’ll take advantage and it’ll be all over from there. Dan was seconds away from winning this match. But Chandler made a timely reversal and it was all over from there.

After pulling his arm away from the ref, Chandler heads into the corner, climbs up onto the middle ropes and raises his FGA World Championship to jeers and boos from the crowd. After climbing down, Chandler heads into the opposite corner. He climbs up onto the middle ropes, places the championship across his shoulder and raises his arm to an eruption of boos from the crowd.
