MAIN EVENT
Lumberjack Match
Chandler Scott vs. Jared James
The lumberjacks - Sean Sands, Dan Herrera, Camellia D. Magna, Colton Sterling, Ashley Sullivan, and Annie Zellor - begin to make their way down to the ring. At the very back of the lumberjacks is Laurel Anne Hardy, with her hood up and an A3 sketchbook under one arm, completely ignoring everyone and everything. While the rest of the lumberjacks file out and take their places around the ring, Laurel backs up and sits down against the guardrail. She sticks headphones in her ears and opens her sketchpad and starts drawing.
Kris Cruise: We’ve got our collection of Lumberjacks at ringside here. And what is Laurel Anne Hardy doing? She knows she’s supposed to be staying on top of the action tonight.
Stephy Auger: Laurel has made her indifference towards Chandler Scott perfectly clear. I believe she said, ‘I don’t hate Chandler Scott. I just wouldn’t care if he died.”
Kris Cruise: I think that pretty much sums up everything, doesn’t it?
Stephy Auger: Indeed it does.
J.A. Aldridge: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! It is your main event of the evening and it is a Lumberjack Match!
Cheers and applause can be heard throughout the crowd.
The sound of an organ plays throughout the arena as the fans turn their attention to the entrance way. As "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple kicks in, the crowd begins to boo, jeer and show various other forms of displeasure. At around the 30 second mark, Chandler Scott pushes through the curtain as the crowd really begins to let him have it.
J.A. Aldridge: Introducing first, from Hyannis Port, Massachusetts! Weighing in at 240 pounds! He is the self-proclaimed “DNA of FGA,” CHANDLER SCOTT!
After scanning the crowd, Chandler raises his index finger in the air, letting everyone know who is truly "number one." He keeps a smug look planted on his face as he swaggers down to the ring.
He then stops once he sees the Lumberjacks staring holes through him. Well everyone except for Laurel Anne Hardy, who appears to be doodling in her sketchpad. Chandler makes his way over towards her and gets in her face. He can be seen taunting at her. But Hardy pays him no mind.
Kris Cruise: Chandler is trying to desperately get under her skin. But his insults are falling on deaf ears.
Stephy Auger: I don’t even know why he would even want to antagonize one of these lumberjacks, especially Laurel Anne Hardy. He is not in any position of power in this match. In fact, his back is pretty much against the wall.
Chandler begins to motion as if he’s about to punch her in an attempt to make her flinch, but Hardy brushes off his antics by flipping him off and going back to her drawing. The double bird gets a loud cheer from the crowd. After being put in his place, Chandler looks her up and down and huffs before rolling into the ring.
The familiar riff of Washed Out's "Feel It All Around" permeates through the arena as Jared James, joined with Dexter Wolfe at his side, slowly waltzes out from the backstage area. A slight grin on his face, James paces his way down to the ring with Wolfe slightly trailing. During this short journey, he periodically stops to high five fans in attendance.
J.A. Aldridge: And his opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Dexter Wolfe! from Des Moines, Iowa! Weighing in at 187 pounds! He is “Mr. FGA,” JARED JAMES!
Once at the ring, he rolls onto the mat and in one motion hops up onto his feet before running into the far corner -- jumping up to the second rope. He throws both arms into the air, enthusiasm plastered across his face, before jumping down to the mat once more and heading into his corner where he sits on the bottom rope in anticipation for his upcoming bout.
Kris Cruise: Jared James has made the ultimate bet by putting his career on the line. Is this it for Mr. FGA? Will this be it for the first man to ever sign on the dotted line three years ago?
Stephy Auger: It’s a shame to hear that Jared’s putting his career on the line. But he’s only riding off into the sunset if Chandler is able to beat him tonight. Jared said he’s not going down without a fight and I believe it. He’s a man that’s been handed some tough losses this year. But that’s because he brings out the best in his opponents. That’s how hard of a fight he brings to the competition. I know that tonight, Jared will fight until his last breath has been beaten out of him.
The bell sounds as both men inch towards the center of the ring before locking up. After jockeying for position, Chandler gains the advantage with an arm wringer. After delivering an elbow to the arm, Chandler delivers another arm wringer. The ref leans in, checking in with Jared to see if he wants to give up. But Jared won’t quit. So Chandler gives a hard tug, causing Jared to cringe in pain. After another arm wringer, Chandler follows up with a yank of the arm, sending Jared down to one knee. The ref leans back in again to check on Jared. But again, Jared won’t quit. After battling his way back to his feet and regaining composure, Jared rolls forward, leans back, kips up, swats Chandler’s hands from off him and follows up with a dropkick to cheers from the crowd. Chandler gets back up, but Jared knocks him down with another dropkick. Chandler gets back up, Jared throws him down with an arm drag. Chandler gets back up, but Jared follows up with another arm drag and transitions into a shoulder lock. The crowd cheers as Chandler is seething after being caught by Jared. The ref leans in and asks Chandler if he wants to give out. But Chandler refuses, giving him an emphatic “no!”
Kris Cruise: Chandler tried to work over the arm there. But Jared was able to get the upper hand and now he’s in control.
Stephy Auger: If I were Chandler, I would have tried taking out one of his legs as opposed to his arms. The one thing that Jared’s got over Chandler is speed and agility. That greatly diminishes with only one leg.
After battling his way back up to his feet, Chandler uses his free hand to reach up, grab a handful of Jared’s hair and pull back. The crowd boos as Chandler pulls Jared into the ropes. Upon seeing the hair pull, the ref gives Chandler until the count of five to break the hold.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…
Chandler slowly lets go of Jared’s hair. But Jared still has a hold of his other arm. So Chandler socks Jared in the face, breaking the hold. He then takes Jared and goes for an irish whip. But Jared reverses, sending Chandler into the ropes. When Chandler comes back, Jared throws him down with a japanese arm drag. Chandler gets back up, but Jared sends him back down with another Japanese arm drag. As Chandler gets back up, Jared runs over and connects with a dropkick, sending Chandler stumbling through the ropes and to the floor. Before Chandler can even get back to his feet, AshTon and Dexter Wolfe grab Chandler and rolls him back into the ring. Chandler immediately gets back up to his feet and kicks the bottom rope.
Kris Cruise: Chandler didn’t take a liking to getting thrown back into the ring.
Stephy Auger: Well that’s too bad. This is what the Lumberjacks are out there to do.
While Chandler continues to yell at AshTon and Dexter, Jared runs up from behind and rolls him up.

After both men get back to their feet, Jared places him in a side headlock. But Chandler is able to shove Jared off of him and into the ropes. When Jared comes back, Chandler knocks him down with a standing shoulderblock. The crowd boos as Chandler takes a moment to flex before running into the ropes. When he comes back, Jared turns over onto his stomach. Chandler then hops over him and continues to run into the ropes. When he comes back, Jared, whose back to his feet, leap frogs over him. Chandler then continues to run into the ropes. When Chandler comes back, Jared goes for a hip toss. But Chandler blocks it. So Jared goes for another hip toss. But again, Chandler blocks it. So Jared punches him in the midsection, doubling him over. After draping his leg across the back of Chandler’s neck, Jared performs a back flip. Once he lands on his feet, Chandler throws out a clothesline. But Jared ducks, reaches back and brings him down with a neckbreaker. The crowd cheers as he turns over and makes the cover.

As Chandler heads back to the center of the ring, Jared takes him down with a swinging hurricanrana, sending Chandler rolling to the outside to cheers from the crowd. But again, before Chandler can gather himself, Dan Herrera, Camellia D. Magna and Annie Zellor grab Chandler and roll him back into the ring. Chandler gets up and sticks his upper body through the ropes to yell at them. But that bites him in the backside when Jared comes from behind with a school boy…

Kris Cruise: And once again, Chandler nearly cost himself this match by yelling at the Lumberjacks.
Stephy Auger: Chandler needs to control himself because next time, he might not be so lucky.
As both grapplers get back to their feet, Jared applies another side headlock. But Chandler shoves Jared off of him and into the ropes. When Jared comes back, he slides through Chandler’s legs. When Chandler turns around, Jared gets back up and throws out a kick. Chandler is able to catch his foot. But Jared quickly counters with an enzuigiri, sending Chandler to the mat to cheers from the crowd. After turning Chandler over, Jared raises his leg, signalling for the Cedar River Leglock to cheers from the crowd. But the cheers turn to boos as Chandler uses his leg strength to shove Jared down to the canvas.
As both men get back up, it’s Chandler that places Jared in a side headlock. But Jared is able to slip out and reverse into a hammerlock. The crowd cheers as Jared increases the pressure of the hold, causing Chandler to cringe with pain. But Chandler reaches back and elbows Jared in the face, garnering boos from the crowd. Chandler then reaches back, flips Jared over with a snapmare and follows up with a rolling neck snap. He makes the cover.

Chandler picks up Jared, moves him into the corner and slams his head into the top turnbuckle. After turning Jared around, he unleashes a series of chops of his own. Chandler then takes Jared and whips him into the opposite corner. He then runs across the ring. But Jared nails him with a boot to the face. As Chandler stumbles back, Jared heads from out of the corner and hops onto his shoulders. But before Jared can flip back for a hurricanrana, Chandler reaches up, grabs him and goes to powerbomb him over the top rope.
Kris Cruise: This doesn’t look good for Jared...
But Jared reaches back, hooks his arm around the top rope and delivers a hurricanrana sending Chandler over the top rope and to the floor.
Stephy Auger: Chandler falls hard to the floor!
Jared grabs the top rope with his other arm and pulls himself up onto the apron. Once Chandler pulls himself up using the top of the guard rail and turns around, Jared leaps off the apron. But Chandler catches him in mid air, runs and rams him back-first against the edge of the apron. The crowd boos as Jared drops to his knees before falling face-first onto the floor. The crowd continues to boo as Chandler puts the boots to Jared. He reaches down, picks up Jared and rams him back-first against the guard rail.
Chandler turns and sees Hardy behind him. He clinches his fist, preparing for an attack. But Hardy waves him off, gesturing for him to get on with the match. Chandler then turns and motions for the lumberjacks to his right to move out of the way. Herrera, Cami and Dexter reluctantly do so. Once his path is clear, Chandler picks up Jared and whips him hard into the guard rail. The crowd boos as Jared crumbles to the floor. Jared can be seen arching his back as he cringes in pain.
Kris Cruise: Chandler’s repeatedly targeting the back of Jared James. That will definitely slow him down.
Stephy Auger: It will. It will also soften up Jared’s back for the Valediction.
Chandler marches down ringside, picks up Jared and launches him back down across ring side with a huge hip toss. The thud from the impact is audible. Jared can be seen arching his back in pain as the crowd tries to rally behind him. As Chandler heads back over to Jared, he can see Sean Sands staring a hole through him. So Chandler looks Sands up and down before shoving him in the face, garnering boos from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: What did he do that for!?
Sands then tries to go after him. But Colton and Dexter hold him back.
Stephy Auger: They should let him go. Chandler’s been trying to pick fights with the Lumberjacks all night. I say let Sands at him.
Chandler then picks up Jared and positions him for a vertical suplex. But Jared blocks it. Chandler then tries for another suplex but again, Jared blocks it. Jared then lifts up Chandler. But instead of reversing with a vertical suplex of his own, Jared turns and throws down Chandler, crotching him across the top of the guard rail.
Stephy Auger: Oh My!
Kris Cruise: I can hear the Vienna Boys Choir warming up, Stephy.
Stephy Auger: We’ve seen Cyncity apologize to Dan Herrera for hurting the “Little Dans.” I don’t think Jared’s going to be apologizing for crushing the “Little Chandlers.”
The crowd cheers as Jared unleashes a series of knife-edge chops. He then reaches back and punches Chandler in the face, knocking him back to the floor. Jared then picks up Chandler and whips him hard into the ring post. After his face smacks against the post, Chandler stumbles to the floor. After he rounds the ring post, Jared picks up Chandler and rolls him back into the ring. After Jared rolls back in, he makes the cover.

Jared gets up, picks up Chandler and brings him back down with a russian leg sweep. After getting back up, Jared steps through the ropes and begins to ascend the turnbuckles. Once Jared’s near the top, Chandler bolts over into the corner, runs up to the middle ropes, grabs Jared around the waist and throws him down with a gutwrench suplex to boos from the crowd. Kris Cruise: Pele! Jared knocks Chandler down with that Pele Kick!
Stephy Auger: What a thing of beauty that kick was. But what’s Jared going to do now? He’s got to capitalize!
While Chandler is down, Jared steps through the ropes and begins to climb the turnbuckles. Once Jared gets to the top turnbuckle, he squats down and waits for Chandler to get up. Once Chandler gets up and turns around, Jared stands up and leaps off, connecting with a flying cross body block. But Chandler rolls through it and pulls Jared back up.
Kris Cruise: Uh oh
Stephy Auger: What’s Chandler going to do here?
Once Chandler gets up to his feet, he shifts Jared over across his shoulder and goes for a running powerslam. But Jared slips down from behind and shoves Chandler into the corner. After Chandler bounces off the turnbuckles and stumbles back, Jared leaps up and connects with a jumping reverse bulldog.
Kris Cruise: Jared takes down Chandler!
Stephy Auger: All he has to do is turn over and make the cover!
Jared gets back up to his feet, drags Chandler back towards the center of the ring and locks him in the Cedar River Leglock.
Kris Cruise: He’s got it locked in!
The crowd cheers as Chandler can be seen cringing in pain. The ref kneels down and asks him if he wants to give up. But Chandler shakes his head no.
Stephy Auger: You can see the pain written all over Chandler’s face! But the last thing he was to do is tap out, especially to Jared James!
Chandler tries to sit up, but Jared falls back, increasing the pressure of the hold.
Kris Cruise: Jared’s really got it applied now!
Stephy Auger: And Chandler’s got nowhere to go!
Chandler sits up and takes several wild swipes at Jared. But Jared easily moves back to avoid the blows. He then repeatedly falls back against the canvas, increasing the pressure of the hold.
Kris Cruise: The crowd is on their feet. You can see Sean sands and the majority of the Lumberjacks just waiting for Chandler to tap or submit.
Chandler slowly turns over towards his right. But Jared turns towards his left, keeping the hold applied.
Kris Cruise: Jared blocks the transition by Chandler!
Chandler slowly begins to turn to his left. But Jared turns to his right, keeping the hold applied.
Stephy Auger: Jared blocks it again!
As Chandler sits up, he begins to slowly scoot back towards the ropes. Jared hangs on tightly to Chandler as he lays back, trying to sandbag himself.
Kris Cruise: Jared’s making it as hard as possible for Chandler to drag himself towards the ropes. Can he do it?
Chandler continues to strain as he scoots himself closer and closer to the ropes. He reaches back for the bottom rope. But he’s not there just yet.
Stephy Auger: The ropes are about three or four inches out of his reach. But can he hold on for just a little bit longer?
Chandler scoots himself some more across the canvas. He reaches back… he’s almost got the bottom rope… but Sean Sands pulls back on the bottom rope to cheers from the crowd.
Kris Cruise: Sean Sands is pulling back the bottom rope!
Stephy Auger: Sands is pulling back the rope so that Chandler can’t get a rope break!
The ref steps through the ropes and scolds Sands, telling him to let go. Sands reluctantly does so, allowing Chandler to grab the bottom rope to boos from the crowd.
Ref: ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… Jared reluctantly lets go. As the ref goes back to scolding Sands, Jared goes over and tries to pick up Chandler. But Chandler nails him with a low blow, sending Jared crumbling to the floor.
Kris Cruise: Low blow!
Stephy Auger: But the ref never saw it!
While Jared is curled up in immense pain, Chandler can be seen crawling towards the corner with a huge grin on his face. Some of the Lumberjacks point to Jared and shout at the ref that he was low blowed. But the ref didn’t see anything.
After pulling himself back up in the corner, Chandler limps over towards Jared. After picking Jared up, Chandler lifts him up over his shoulder, limps into the corner and sits him down across the top turnbuckle. Chandler climbs up to the middle ropes and grabs Jared for a superplex. But he stops. He lets go of Jared and wags his finger at the crowd. He then climbs up onto the top rope and grabs Jared.

As both grapplers get up, Chandler grabs Jared and whips him into the ropes. When Jared comes back, he knocks down Chandler with a clothesline and continues to run into the ropes. After turning over onto his back, Jared kips up and tries to fire up the crowd by shaking his fists.
Kris Cruise: This crowd is firmly behind Jared James!
Stephy Auger: And Jared is back in control!
Jared picks up Chandler and whips him into the corner. He then runs across the ring and connects with a Stinger Splash. Jared then takes Chandler and whips him into the opposite corner. He runs across the ring, hops onto Chandler and monkey flips him from out of the corner. As Chandler slowly gets up and turns around, he turns right into a spinning roundhouse kick that knocks him down. As Chandler starts to get up, Jared runs over, leaps up and goes for the Hawkeye Drop. But Chandler moves out of the way. He then goes for a German Suplex. But Jared blocks, elbows him in the face, performs a standing switch and counters with a German of his own.
Jared gets up and points to the top rope. The crowd cheers. So Jared obliges by stepping through the ropes and climbing the turnbuckle. Just then, “Graceful Jewelry Removal” blares throughout the arena as Sunshine Scandalous Tony Carmine makes his way down to the ring, garnering the attention of the fans, the ref and the lumberjacks.
Kris Cruise: What is Tony Carmine doing out here!?
Stephy Auger: He’s been banned from ringside!
As Jared watches Tony slowly make his way down the aisle, the cameraman suddenly grabs Jared by the leg and yanks him down, crotching him up on the top turnbuckle. He then takes the camera and smashes Jared in the face with it, sending Jared falling off the turnbuckle and to the canvas.
Kris Cruise: The cameraman just attacked Jared James! I don’t believe ti!
Stephy Auger: What the heck!?
Sands sees this, so he immediately rushes over as the cameraman drops down to the floor and makes a beeline towards the guard rail. Just as the cameraman hops over the guardrail, Sands grabs him by the hair. Sands begins to pull at the man’s hair until he yanks it off.
Kris Cruise: What in the world?
Sands looks down at the apparent wig in his hands. He then looks up and sees what appears to be a bald man covering his head with his forearms as he navigates through the crowd.
Stephy Auger: Was that… was that Seth Lawless?
Kris Cruise: I… I don’t know. It looks like it.
Back in the aisle, Tony puts his hands up, as if to say he’s not here to cause trouble. He then gradually walks backwards up the ramp before turning around and making his way back through the curtain.
Back in the ring, Chandler turns over and sees Jared laying on the canvas. A devilish smirk comes across his face as he gets back to his feet. He makes his way over to Jared, drags him towards the center of the ring and brings him back up to his feet. Jared is barely able to stand as he’s essentially out of it. As Chandler grabs Jared by the hair with both hands, he whispers to him, “goodbye, Jared.” Chandler then steps back and nails Jared right in the face with a discus Harvard Hammer, knocking him down to jeers and boos from the crowd. He then drops on top of Jared and makes the cover.

J.A. Aldridge: Here is your winner, CHANDLER SCOTT!
Chandler gets his arm raised as the crowd rains down boos on him. He then rolls out of the ring and brushes his way past the Lumberjacks, making a beeline up the aisle.
Kris Cruise: Jared James had Chandler Scott dead to rights! It was over! Then Tony Carmine came down and distracted everyone. And then that phoney cameraman, whomever it was...
Stephy Auger: Seth Lawless, let’s not even act like it was anyone else.
Kris Cruise: … then Seth Lawless disguised as a cameraman attacks Jared behind everyone’s back. And now Chandler’s got the win. Chandler stole this match from Jared James!
Stephy Auger: He didn’t just steal the match. Chandler Scott stole Jared James’ career!
As “Perfect Strangers” dies down, Jared slowly sits up, realizing what just happened. He puts his head in his hands when it finally sinks in that it’s over. Dexter Wolfe immediately rushes into the ring to comfort his mentor. As Dexter helps Jared up to his feet, the fans in the front row get from out of their seats and applaud Jared. Kris Cruise, Stephy Auger and J.A. Aldridge to the same. Cheers, claps and whistling can be heard throughout the crowd as the Lumberjacks, even Laurel Anne Hardy, head into the ring to hug Jared, shake his hand or pat him on the back. A “THANK YOU, JARED!” chant begins to make it ways throughout the crowd. As Jared climbs back down, he turns and hugs his student Dexter, knowing that this is the last time he’ll step into an FGA ring. Or any ring, for that matter.
