FGA Heavyweight Championship Match
(c) Chris Q vs. Sean Sands
As the opening beat of "We Can Make The World Stop" by Glitch Mob hits, the crowd begins to cheer as they await for the very liked face that is Sean Sands. The black curtains are opened and most of the fans can see a man standing behind them. Sean Sands, with his regular in-ring attire, steps out from behind the ring curtains and looks out at the crowd, smiling. He does not stand at the top of the ramp for long, quickly making his way down the ramp. He high fives a few fans along the way and eventually pulls off his t-shirt and either tosses it into the crowd, or hands it to someone in the front row.
Clement: Sean Sands has accomplished a lot in his career. But there is one thing that has always eluded him. And that is the top championship. It has always been within reach, but he was never able to grab it. Will tonight be the night that Sands finally seizes that top prize? Will he be the one to knock Q off of his perch and become the FGA Heavyweight Champion? Or will he become the next in a long line of challengers that tried... and failed?
"The Earths Rotation Around the Sun" begins blasting through the speakers. From the top of the entrance way, Chris Q emerges to an extremely negative reaction. Embracing the negativity from the audience, Chris Q makes his way to the ring while getting into the faces of a few fans. When he gets to the ring, Chris Q slides under the bottom rope and slowly gets to his feet. The fans continue to boo as Chris looks out into the crowd with a cocky smile across his face. Chris Q once again yells at the fans as the music dies down.
Clement: Chris Q has simply run over the competition. Anyone that he's been put into the ring with, he's beaten. And on the rare occasion that he has lost, he has avenged that loss quickly. There is no one that has dominated the competition the way that he has. But has he met his match tonight? Does Sean Sands have what it takes to wrestle that FGA Heavyweight Championship away from the Big Bad? Or will Q do what he has done time and time and time again and win? We will find out tonight. Manny Cruz is standing by with your main event introductions...
Cruz: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! It is your main event of the evening! And it is for the FGA Heavyweight Championship!
(Cheers and applause can be heard throughout the crowd.)
Cruz: Introducing first, the challenger! From Cincinnati, Ohio! Weighing in at 215 pounds..... SEAN SANDS!
Crowd: SANDS! SANDS! SANDS! SANDS! SANDS!
Cruz: And his opponent, from Lone Oak, Texas! Weighing in at 241 pounds! He is the reigning, defending FGA Heavyweight Champion! He is the self-proclaimed "Big Bad of FGA"..... CHRIS Q!
(Chris Q raises his belt high to tremendous heat from the crowd. Q hands the ref over to the ref. The ref shows it to Sands before raising high to cheers from the crowd. After handing the belt off to the time keeper, he calls for the bell.)
The bell sounds as both men make their way to the center of the ring. After staring each other down, Chris Q tries getting in the head of Sean Sands as he talks down to him to his face. But Sands just stares a hole right through him to cheers from the crowd.
Clement: Sean Sands refuses to be intimidated by Chris Q. He's not letting Chris get into his head...
Q steps back and begins to circle the ring. Sands does the same. The two men inch closer towards each other and lock up. After jockeying for position, Q shoves Sands back, sending Sands stumbling into the ropes to boos from the crowd. Sands makes his way off the ropes and circles the ring. He inches closer to Q before locking up with him. After jockeying for position, Q shoves Sands down to the canvas to boos from the crowd. Sands rolls up onto his knees and stares back at Q.
Clement: Chris Q lets Sands know that he can't overpower him.
Grayson: Of course he can't. Just look at the two. So what the heck is Sands doing?
Sands gets back up to his feet, goes over and locks up with Q. Sands quickly places him in a side headlock. But Q shoves Sands off of him and into the ropes. When Sands comes back, Q knocks him down with a standing shoulderblock to boos from the crowd.
Clement: And again, Q sends Sands crashing back down to the canvas.
Grayson: You mean like how he's going to send Sands crashing off the ladder?
Sands rolls away from Q and gets back up to his feet. He makes his way over towards Q and goes for a collar and elbow tie up. But Q ducks the lock up and applies a waistlock from behind. Sands then reaches back and elbows him in the face to cheers from the crowd. Once Sands breaks free, he runs back into the ropes. When Sands comes back, Q throws a clothesline. But Sands ducks and runs into the ropes. When Sands comes back, he goes for a running shoulderblock. But Q braces himself and knocks down Sands with a standing shoulderblock. The crowd boos.
Grayson: I don't know what Sands is going for here. But he needs to switch up the strategy quick...
Sands turns over and slaps the canvas in frustration. After he gets back up to his feet, he inches closer to Q before locking up with him. After jockeying for position, Q moves Sands into the corner. After pressing Sands against the turnbuckles, the ref goes over and tell him to break it up by the count of five.
Ref: ONE... TWO... THREE... FOUR...
Q slowly lets go, before lunging into the corner for a cheap shot. But Sands moves out of the way. When Q turns around, the crowds cheers as Sands delivers a series of knife-edge chops. He brings Q from out of the corner and goes for an irish whip. But Q reverses, sending Sands into the ropes. When Sands comes back, he slides through Q's legs. When Q turns around, Sands pushes himself up and throws out a kick. Q catches his foot and then turns Sands away from him. He quickly grabs Sands from behind and goes for a belly to back suplex. But Sands rolls over his shoulder, lands on his feet and then runs into the ropes. When Q turns around, Sands knocks him down with a clothesline to cheers from the crowd. As Q gets up, Sands runs back into the ropes. When he comes back, he knocks down Q with another clothesline to cheers from the crowd. As Q gets up, Sands runs into the ropes. When Sands comes back, Q side steps, grabs him from the side, runs and tosses him over the top rope to boos from the crowd...
Grayson: There goes Sands...
… but the boos turn to cheers as Sands grabs a hold of the top rope with both hands. Q turns around and sees this, so he charges at Sands and goes for a baseball slide to the back. But Sands “skins the cat,” pulling himself over the top rope & back into the ring as Q slides to the outside. When Q gets up and turns around, Sands leaps through the ropes and knocks him down with a suicide dive. The crowd cheers as Sands mounts himself on top of Q and hammers away with right hands.
Clement: Sands outsmarts Q. And now look at him take it to the Big Bad!
Sands picks up Q and rolls him back into the ring. As Sands rolls himself back in, Q immediately pounces on him to boos from the crowd.
Grayson: And there goes Chris Q, right back on the attack!
Q picks up Sands and slams his head into the top turnbuckle. After turning Sands around, Q lights up his chest with a series of knife edge chops. He takes Sands by the wrist to whip him into the opposite corner. But Sands uses his right hand to hang on to the ropes. So Q tugs at his arm again. But Sands continues to hang on to the top rope. To cheers from the crowd. But the cheers turn to boos as Q nails Sands with a kick to the midsection. He then takes Sands and whips him into the opposite corner. Q runs across the ring. But he runs right into an elbow to cheers from the crowd. After stumbling back, Q runs back into the corner. But this time, Sands leans back and gives him a boot to the face. The crowd cheers. After stumbling back, Q runs back towards the corner. But Sands runs out and cuts him off with a spinning heel kick. The crowd cheers as he makes the cover.

As Sands picks him up, Q quickly brings him down with a double leg takedown.
Grayson: And Q is right back on Sands! Every time that Sands tries to build off of something, Chris Q is right there to take him back down.
Clement: And that's got to be frustrating the challenger...
Q mounts himself on top of Sands and hammers away with rights and lefts to the face. He then gets up, grabs Sands by the hair, yanks him back up to his feet and nails him with a knee strike to the midsection. He then knocks Sands down with a clubbing shot to the back of the neck. Sands kicks out.
Clement: The hard cross body only gets two. Thus far, this has been pretty even down the middle. What does Sands have to do to win this match?
Grayson: Hope and pray. At this point in time, you would think that a scouting report would have been made on Chris Q with all of his weaknesses. But with his track record and the competition that he's faced and dominated, he appears to be nearly unbeatable. For Sands, tonight better be the right place and the right time because if it's not, he's not winning anything.
Clement: And what about Chris Q? What does the champion need to do to retain?
Grayson: Keep Sands grounded. Maybe take out one of his legs. But he should definitely use his size and strength advantage to push Sands around the ring. You know, really grind him into the mat.
Q picks up Sands and nails him with a forearm strike, sending him stumbling into the ropes. But Sands bounces off the ropes, comes back and connects with a shoot kick to the leg. The crowd cheers. But the cheers turn to boos as Q connects with another forearm strike to the face. This time, knocking Sands down. As Q picks up sands, Sands shoves him away from him. Grayson: And he might end up being caught with something else...
Sands then begins to climb the turnbuckles as Q gets up on the outside. When Q turns around, Sands leaps off and knocks him down with a flying cross body block. The crowd cheers.
Clement: Sands takes it to the air and brings the Big Bad down with that high cross body! And these fans here in the Ted Reeve Arena are firmly behind the challenger...

Grayson: Here we go!
Clement: And this is not where Sands wanted to be. He's trapped in the corner. And Chris Q is just swinging away, hammering him with those organ-rattling rights and lefts to the body.
As Sands begins to cover up, Q shifts targets and unleashes a series of clubbing forearms to the sides of the head.
Grayson: Look at the way Sands' head is bouncing around. I'm surprised he's not out on his feet yet...
Sands begins to slump down in the corner as Q throws forearm strike... after forearm strike.... after forearm strike at his head. But Q isn't done yet. He picks up Sands and blasts him with a headbutt, sending him right back down in the corner. The crowd boos as Q reaches down and chokes Sands. He pulls down on the top rope for leverage. He then reaches down, grabs two handfuls of hair and yanks Sands back up to his feet. After bringing Sands into position, Q delivers a powerbomb onto the floor. The crowd boos as Sands arches his back in pain.
Clement: Jesus!
Grayson: That's what Sands is probably saying in his head. "Jesus, why did I have to b so stupid and challenge Chris Q."
But Q isn't done yet. He picks Sands back up, lifts him up, turns and powerbombs Sands against the edge of the apron. The crowd boos as Sands bounces off the apron and tumbles to the floor.
Grayson: He's hurt, Kev. He's hurt bad...

Grayson: How is he not quitting!?
Clement: Sands has come too far to quit. He'd rather pass out than quit. He'd rather get knocked out than quit. But as long as there's still breath in his body, Sands isn't quitting.
Grayson: Well, I'm sure Chris Q will gladly take care of that...
Q pulls back, causing Sands to scream in pain. The ref asks Sands if he wants to give up. But Sands refuses to quit. He then puts his palms down on the canvas and slowly pushes himself up to cheers from the crowd.

Q keeps the hold locked on. But Sands continues to crawl to safety. He reaches out.... but barely misses the ropes. Sands then pulls himself closer.... and grabs the bottom rope to cheers from the crowd.
Clement: He did it! He made it to the ropes!
Q picks up Sands and whips him into the ropes. When Sands comes back, Q bends over to set up a back body drop. But Sands counters with a high knee lift to cheers from the crowd. As Q stumbles back, Sands runs over, leaps up and plants him with Face Meets Mat to cheers from the crowd. But instead of going for the cover, Sands can be seen holding his back in pain.
Grayson: He can't even make the cover. His back is too messed up. He should have just quit when he had the chance!
