Pride Championship Match
(c) Kevin Hardaway vs. Bob Pooler
“Unleashed” blasts out of the speakers as the curtain is pulled back and out steps Pooler. Cellphone flashes illuminate him in an almost strobe light affect as he stands there soaking in the energy. He smiles as he hears the roar of the crowd. He makes his way down to the ring smiling and slapping the hands of those closest to the guard rail. He rolls under the bottom rope and stands up in the corner, a smirk on his face as he stretches his arms across his chest and awaits the start of the match.
Clement: It was two weeks ago that Bob Pooler defeated Kevin Hardaway in what many considered an upset. That upset victory, combined with his performance thus far in FGA, essentially earned him this rematch. This time for the Pride Championship. Can he pull out the win for the second show in a row?
Grayson: He may. But Hardaway knows what Pooler is capable of. And if anything, this match favors Hardaway. He knows the rules inside and out. He showed against Anton Chase that he can go the distance to a third and deciding fall. Plus, The Murder is still out there lurking somewhere. For all we know, they could be in the back jumping Pat Gordon, Jr right now. All of those things have to be weighing on Pooler's mind.
The house lights go out in the arena as the opening of "Violence (Enough is Enough)" by A Day to Remember flares up. Strobe lights begin to go insane when the vocals blare out of the sound system as Kevin Hardaway appears in the entry way. The crowd is thrilled seeing him as Kevin inhales before he makes his way down the ring. A few hands get slapped away as once Kevin is at ringside, he hops up on the ring apron. The lights are back to normal as they enter the ring as he heads to the nearest turnbuckle and goes up to the top buckle. Some take pictures as he steps down, inhaling once more as he does the same thing on the other side of the ring before backing into the corner as he then waits for the match to begin as his entrance song fades off.
Clement: The champion has a lot on his mind as well. Ever since he first stepped foot into FGA, Chandler Scott has targeted him. Now, after nearly four months of dealing with this nonsense that was all orchestrated by Chandler, Hardaway now has his chance to unleash hell on him.
Grayson: But can be stay focused on the task at hand? Or is he looking past Pooler? He dared Chandler to come to ringside tonight. You don't think Chandler won't? You know how Chandler loves to antagonize people and get under their skin. He cost Hardaway the match against Pooler two weeks ago. You don't think he'd love to do the same thing again?
Clement: I'm sure he would. Right now let's send it to the ring to Manny Cruz for the championship introductions....
Cruz: The following contest is your main event of the evening. And it is for the Pride Championship!
(The crowd cheers. An "FGA!" chant soon breaks out)
Cruz: Introducing first, the challenger. Now residing out of Boston, Massachusetts. Weighing in at 218 pounds.... BOB POOLER!
(Cheers and applause can be heard throughout the crowd. Pooler nods his head as he looks around at the crowd.)
Cruz: And his opponent, from Baltimore, Maryland. Weighing in at 229 pounds. He is the reigning.... defending.... Pride Champion. Ladies and gentlemen, KEVIN HARDAWAY!
(A "K-HARD" chant breaks out as Hardaway climbs onto the middle turnbuckle and raises the Pride Championship in the air.)
The senior official then calls for both men to come to the center of the ring. After running down the Pride Rules to both men, he offers them the opportunity to shake hands. They do so to cheers from the crowd. As Pooler heads into his corner, Hardaway takes the Pride Championship and kisses the center plate before handing it over to the official. The official then heads over to Pooler and shows him the belt. After Pooler looks at it, the ref holds up the belt to all four sides of the crowd. Cheers and applause can be heard throughout the crowd. After handing the belt off to the timekeeper, the ref asks both men if they're ready. Once they acknowledge that they are, he calls for the bell.
The bell sounds as both men shakes hands before circling the ring. They then slowly approach the center of the ring and lock up. After jockeying for position, Pooler moves Hardaway into the corner. The ref goes over and gives both men until the count of five to break it up.
Ref: ONE.... TWO..... THREE.... FOUR....
Both men make a clean break. Pooler then steps back towards the center of the ring. After Hardaway makes his way from out of the corner and circles the ring, both men lock up. After jockeying for position, Pooler moves Hardaway into the corner. But Hardaway quickly shifts his position and presses Pooler up against the corner. The ref again goes over and gives both men until the count of five to break it up..
Ref: ONE.... TWO.... THREE...... FOUR......
Both men make a clean break. Hardaway steps back to the center of the ring. Pooler then makes his way from out of the corner and circles the ring. Both men inch over towards each other and lock up. Hardaway quickly places Pooler in a side headlock. But Pooler slips out and applies a hammerlock from behind. But Hardaway bends over and reverses into a hammerlock of his own. He transitions into another side headlock. Pooler tries to shove Hardaway off of him. But it's to no avail. Hardaway then performs a standing switch, applying another hammerlock from behind. Hardaway jerks the arm, causing Pooler to cringe in pain. Pooler then reaches back with his free arm, grabs Hardaway by the back of the neck and jumps up. As he comes back down, he delivers a snapmare takeover, breaking the hold.

Pooler again reverses into a leg scissors headlock. But Hardaway is able to free himself with a kip up. Once Pooler scurries to his feet, Hardaway brings him back down with another side headlock takeover. Pooler then reverses into yet another leg scissors headlock. And after a bit of a struggle, Hardaway is able to free himself with a kip up. As Pooler gets back up to his feet, Hardaway places him in yet another side headlock. Pooler then shoves Hardaway off of him and into the ropes. When Hardaway comes back, he knocks Pooler down with a running shoulderblock. Hardaway then runs into the ropes while Pooler kips up to his feet. When Hardaway comes back, Pooler leap frogs over him. Hardaway continues to run into the ropes. When Hardaway comes back, Pooler throws him down with arm drag. The crowd cheers.
Clement: This match has been pretty even thus far. But Pooler may have just gotten the upperhand.
Hardaway gets back up, but Pooler throws him down with another arm drag. The crowd cheers. As Hardaway gets up, Pooler reaches out, grabs him and goes for an irish whip. But Hardaway reverses, sending Pooler into the ropes. When Pooler comes back, he delivers a tilt-a-whirl leg scissors takeover, sending Hardaway to the canvas. The crowd cheers. As Hardaway gets up, Pooler charges at him. But Hardaway ducks and dumps him over the top rope with a fireman's carry takeover. Luckily for Pooler, he lands safely on his feet on the apron. When Hardaway turns around, Pooler nails him with a shoulder thrust to the midsection. While Hardaway is doubled over, Pooler springboards onto the top rope and delivers a double foot stomp to the back, knocking Hardaway down to cheers from the crowd. As Hardaway rolls to the outside, Pooler runs into the ropes. As Hardaway gets up, Pooler comes back and goes for a baseball slide into a spinning leg scissors takedown. The crowd cheers.
Clement: What an unorthodox move there by Pooler.
Grayson: Pooler knows what's on the line tonight. He's going to break out everything in his arsenal for this one.
While Hardaway is down, Pooler hops up onto the apron and waits for his opponent to get back up. As Hardaway gets up and turns around, Pooler runs along the apron, dives off and delivers a flying hurricanrana to cheers from the crowd.
Crowd: POOLER! POOLER ! POOLER ! POOLER!
Clement: Pooler connects with the diving rana.
Grayson: Hardaway needs to put the brakes on this before this match gets out of hand.
Pooler then slides back into the ring and waits for Hardaway to get up. As Hardaway slowly gets up, Pooler runs into the ropes. When Pooler comes back, Hardaway dives into the ring, gets up and knocks him down with a forearm smash to the face. The crowd cheers. After stumbling over into the ropes, Hardaway makes his way back over to Pooler. He picks up Pooler and whips him into the ropes. When Pooler comes back, Hardaway bends over to set up a back body drop. But Pooler leap frogs over Hardaway and continues to run into the ropes. When Pooler comes back, Hardaway turns around and goes for an attack. But Pooler slides through his legs. When Hardaway turns around, Pooler pops back up to his feet and goes for a kick. Clement: Hardaway now finds himself down 1-0. What's going through his mind right now.
Grayson: He's not panicking yet. He was down 1-0 to Anton Chase and came back to win two straight falls. He could very well do it again. If he wants to win this match, he has to.
After the mandatory 30 second rest period, the bell sounds. While Hardaway pulls himself up in the corner, Poole marches over towards him. But before Pooler can even strike, Hardaway grabs him and tosses him into the corner. He then unleashes a series of knife-edge chops that echo throughout the arena. The crowd cheers. He then sizes up Pooler before delivering a series of stiff kicks to the chest. The kicks pick up in frequency as he continues.
Clement: We can hear the thuds from those kicks all the way back here!

Clement: Hardaway has concentrated his attack on Pooler's midsection thus far in the second portion of this match. I'm surprised Pooler isn't having trouble breathing.

Grayson: So what happens with this third fall?
Clement: I don't know. But it looks like we're about to find out....
After the mandatory rest period, both men are up in opposite corners. Hardaway leans up in his corner clutching his ribs while Pooler leans up in his corner holding his back. Clement: Hardaway gets the fall. He gets the pin with the Asylum Bomb!
Grayson: What happens now?
As Hardaway pulls himself up using the ropes, the senior official goes to the outside and talks to the ring announcer. Back in the ring, Pooler can be seen crawling over towards the corner.
Cruz: The referee has informed me that since neither man was able to gain two falls, this match has been declared.... a DRAW!
Cheers and a scattering of boos can be heard throughout the crowd. Both men, exhausted and beat up, slowly make their way to the center of the ring. After looking at each other, they shake each others hand to cheers and applause from the crowd.
Clement: A great display of sportsmanship there by both men. Bob Pooler got the win two weeks ago. But with the belt on the line, neither man was able to claim victory over the other. So Kevin Hardaway retains his title as this match ends in a tie.
Grayson: I want to see them go again.
Clement: I think we all do.
"Ride of the Valkyries" blares throughout the building as Chandler Scott steps through the curtain to boos from the crowd.
Clement: But I can tell you one thing that we all don't want to see. And that's this jerk Chandler Scott ruining this feel good moment.
Grayson: Speak for yourself. I'm all for more Chandler Scott.
The music quickly turns Pooler's and Hardaway's attention to Chandler, who slowly makes his way down the aisle. He circles the ring, never taking his eyes off of either men and vice versa. Chandler tries to roll into the ring. But as soon as Pooler approaches, he quickly rolls back out. He continues to circle the ring. Chandler tries to climb up onto the apron. But as soon as Hardaway throws out a kick, he quickly hops back down. Both men continue to stare holes right through Chandler. But while they're backs are turned, The Murder jump the barricade.
Clement: THE MURDER! THE MURDER IS HERE!
Malcolm Drake and Dom Harter slide into the ring. Before Pooler and Hardaway know it, Pooler is being knocked down from behind with a double clothesline. The crowd boos as The Murder puts the boots to him. Hardaway hears this, so he turns around, goes over and pulls Harter off of Pooler. Hardaway turns him around and nails him with a series of European Uppercuts to cheers from the crowd. But the cheers turn to boos once Chandler slides in and attacks Harter from behind. The crowd boos as Chandler then takes Hardaway and tosses him through the ropes and to the floor. After Chandler goes to the outside and attacks Hardaway, Harter comes from out of the corner and helps Drake double team Pooler.
Clement:This damn Murder has struck once again. Damn them. DAMN THEM! And that gloryhound Chandler Scott is no better than them.

A quick shot of the entrance way reveals Johnny Blayze, who stands there with his hands on his hips. He looks none too pleased at the embrace going on in the ring. PGJr waves at him to come down to the ring. Pooler then smiles as he sits down on the middle rope and holds up the top rope for Blayze.
