Of all the rps this week, I can honestly say I liked the exchange between Bond and Pooler the best. Great stuff from both of you and probably some of the best I have ever read. Really got me anxious to read that match on the card.
The character development past piece transitioned nicely into the shoot. It made me more curious about the whole scene with the dog, and made me feel the mutual respect with both characters. I'm also hoping this turns in to a feud as opposed to a one off as I think both of you could write some really great stuff against each other.

Question for Bondo,
in your latest role play, I notice that Pooler and Bond travel together, is that right? Would this be considered off camera, as in FGA doesn't know about it? Or do they still openly travel together even with the different alignments?
Still getting to know about things around here.

Breaking kayfabe, they're travelling together. It's OOC for them, meaning they're still comrades but their roles aren't necessarily that.
The FGA fans wouldn't know about it. It's breaking some kind of fourth wall revealing that the good guys and the bad guys are actually friends.

The behind-the-scenes friendship between Bond and Pooler is all I'm focusing on for my response.

I didn't know where else to put this so I put it here. It's been pleasure rping against you this week and like you I hope that we get the chance to do it again. Also the Book of Misery is by far the most inventive type of rp style that I've seen and I love it. It is just so refreshing to see something new and out of the box. Thanks for a good week.

I thank you sir; your character's back and forth is what kept me going this week. It's refreshing to see a cocksure face that doesn't bash another face as bad, yet still makes them come off as a legitimate threat.
Also, regarding the Book of Misery thing, it was nice to get back to it. I'm glad you liked it!
Can't wait to tango again, Fandango.

I made it a point to catch up on some of your RPs this weekend, Johnny boy. I'm trying to come up with a good analogy for it but the best I've got is Tommy Dreamer in ECW or a less-cheesy, more vulnerable Hulk Hogan.
Which is to say I think you're doing some of the best face-work I've seen. This Pride title has given Bond a focus that the character needs that keeps him from turning into Terry Funk (which, from a writing perspective would be awesome).
Unrelated, but related: I've also enjoyed the Thaddeus Grey stuff as well. I'm not crazy about the corporate back-story, but do you, Bondo.

Thanks V; Re: The Grey stuff... the corporate backstory is moreso used to give him something he has to do, as opposed to something he wants to do. I'm slowly telling that story through his CD. I appreciate the feedback. I also realize that it kinda makes him look like a 50 Shades kind of thing. Not the case. And no, I haven't read it, Pervs. Re: The Bond things; I appreciate the analogies. I've definitely been trying to move away from Bond's continuing search for redemption into a cause to fight for, and after teh FGA/FRONTIER show, and with Bond winning this Pride Championship, I may have found it. And I'm not sure I follow you on the Terry Funk comment? However, all things aside, I greatly appreciate the input you've given. I value your opinion greatly because I've experienced your writing and I definitely want some of that greatness thrust upon me, even if I have to settle for little flecks of dust from days gone by.

And I'm not sure I follow you on the Terry Funk comment? Terry Funk's gimmick in ECW (and pretty much every he wrestled from 1996-present, excluding the Chainsaw CHarlie days) was that he was just a "tired old man" in it for one last go-around. I think a lot of people who handle older veteran characters go that direction. I'd be interested to see it from Bond, but generally speaking I think it's well-worn territory. Speaking of Funk, I remember watching Funk vs. CM Punk. Funk comes out to no music, and one of the fans goes "Hey, where's your music?" And Funk goes, "I don't need no god-damned music!" Damn I love Terry Funk.
