The soothing sound of waves hitting the shore of the rock pool, illuminating a beautiful scene of a paradise. A female figure is standing on the rocks in a secluded area on the beach front. We get a better view of the svelte woman who is wearing a well-fitted bikini that showed her able-bodied curves. The woman was Mercy Williams. The soft breeze blew her long brown hair like something out of an art piece. Mercy stood with good posture as she soaked in all the sights and sounds. Mercy put her hands in a pray position and bowed down. Mercy gracefully walked off the rocks and followed towards the camera that was filming her.
Mercy softly smiled into the camera as she begun to speak. “So nice of you to come visit me on my little trip.”
“You’re probably wondering why I took a little holiday, especially so close to my big feature contest at Showdown in the Sun. It wasn’t a normal getaway, it was more of a retreat. it was a way for me to get intune of myself again. A way to get deep inside of my mind and retrain my mental state more than anything. I needed to detox the things holding me down. People think that training is only just physical, they forget the mental part. I want to walk into my match with Emily Carter physically AND mentally prepared.
Mercy lifted up her index finger and tapped the side of her temple.
“Allegedly people have chimed in so much about why oh why I turned my back on little miss innocent Emily. Was it all just a bout of jealousy?”
Mercy smiled, shaking her head. “What do I have anything to be jealous of? I mean, I’m not the one who collectively killed a company after winning the big one. But I gotta give her some credit, she did earn an accolade, which I haven’t done yet.”
Mercy sighed to herself, curling a strand of her wavy beach hair.
“I’ve attacked her, I mocked her and said unpleasant things about her. I was malicious, cruel and unforgiving all because Emily ‘intentionally’ screwed me over on that first episode of Thursday Night Challenge.”
Mercy shook her head at the memory of that night of their miscommunication and Mercy taking the embarrassing fall for the team.
“That night was so embarrassing for me, you know. I wanted to be something better in 3GW and Emily couldn’t hold her end of the match. Seriously, I was nice enough to forgive her after that. But then, she did it again. She showed her ass for who she truly was.”
Mercy stopped herself from agitated by closing her eyes taking deep inhale and a matching exhale. Mercy slowly opened her eyes, gazing back towards the camera.
“But I could say is that she’s the one who set the wheels in motion for me. I needed a change, I couldn’t be the same old Mercy from LDFC. I instead, I needed to become something better, I needed to break the rules if I wanted success in 3GW. “
“And see what I’ve done so far, I’ve got your attention now. I have the people talking, it’s more negative than its positive talk, nonetheless, you’re all still talking about me. Ya think you will take me down with your baseless chatter? I don’t need to be accepted by others, I only need to accept myself.”
Mercy smiled widely into the camera showing her teeth. “I shouldn't be in Emily’s shadow and I certainly don’t need to be in her little clique. Look at her clique right now, they are dropping like flies. I mean, whatever happened to Echo Rigby and Jensen Banks?”
Mercy frowned. "They did the smart thing by taking themselves out of the equation.”
Mercy walked towards the water to soak her feet when the waves crashed towards her.
“Showdown in the Sun will be the night where I rightfully receive the recognition as one of the key players in 3GW. I’m not afraid of Emily despite whatever she wants to tell herself. I’m only outsmarting her to get her riled up for a fight. How delicious would it be when I defeat her and prove her wrong in every aspect? Like me being the better the wrestler, better looking and much more talented and charismatic. I’m the total package.”
Mercy took a soothing breathe with her radiant smile still upon her face.
“My intention going in is 'Live life as though everything is rigged in your favour.’ and that’s what I shall do.”
Mercy pressed her hands together and bowed her head towards her hands. “Namaste"
