COMPANY INFORMATION
Lion's Den Fighting Championships (aka "Lion's Den FC", "Lion's Den" or "LDFC") is a sister promotion/developmental branch of Frontier Grappling Arts. The territory that LDFC covers is the great state of North Carolina. LDFC has both its headquarters and its training center in Greensboro, NC. Currently, LDFC only runs events in these three cities:
Thomasville, NC
Gibsonville, NC
Greensboro, NC
Winston-Salem, NC
Eventually, LDFC will look to run events in:
Hickory, NC
Charlotte, NC
PROGRAMMING & SCHEDULING
Lion's Den FC doesn't have a TV deal. Instead, they hold Internet Tapings, which are available to view for free via the LDFC website. The title of these tapings is called, “Pride”. Pride events will see a mixture of (detailed) summarized and fully written results.
LDFC doesn't have Pay Per View or even internet Pay Per View. Instead, they have Supercards. Normally, these events will be longer than most Pride events. While championships can be defended on Pride events, the Supercards are where you will normally find the big title fights. These Supercards can also serve as feud enders for a number of high profile feuds. These shows will feature fully written results. Supercards will occur at the end of every cycle.
Speaking of which, the schedule is broken up in cycles. A cycle will consist of 4-5 Pride events, followed by a Supershow. LDFC runs its events on a bi-weekly schedule. Both Pride events and Supershows will be on Wednesdays.
TITLES
As of November 2015, LDFC has three championships:
Apex Championship - top tier
Carolina Cup - territory cup vs. outside talent
Old North Championship - second tier
OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Field of Pride - An eight person, one night tournament. The inaugural FoP Tournament crowd the first Apex Champion.
CALLS UPS/SEND DOWNS
At no point will we send down your character from the main FGA roster to Lion's Den. The decision to be sent down is totally up to the handler.
At no point will we call up your character from Lion's Den to FGA without your permission. If you're ready for your character to move up, then we'll put the plans in place to have your character called up.
There will be times when a wrestler from Lion's Den will have a "Dark Match" on one of the FGA shows. When this happens,
a) you'll be notified in advance and
b) the match will have a 800 word limit.
ROLEPLAY & JUDGING CRITERIA
All RPs have a word limit of 800 words max. The RP limit will be two for Pride shows and Supercards. Multiple RPs will be averaged out (quality > quantity).
Unlike the main roster, RPs in LDFC will only be graded on the following categories:
Match Focus: Did you refer to your current match, either in the form of straight up trash talk or in some other narrative relating to the match? If so, how effective/moving was it? Also, did you do a good job selling the match?
Character Portrayal: How well did you play your gimmick/persona? Do we want to see your heel get their comeuppance? Do we want to see your babyface overcome the odds and get the win? Things like that.
Each of these categories is graded on a 1-5 scale (i.e. 1 out 5, 2 out of 5, etc)
RULES
The rest of the rules & guidelines are essentially the same as for the main roster. They are...
• To prevent sandbagging, no more than ONE RP can be posted within the last 24 hrs of the deadline.
• DO NOT use other characters in your roleplays without their permission.
• If something is clearly labeled as "Off Camera" in a roleplay, it is OFF LIMITS.
• Keep things realistic. Granted, this is an e-fed and some fantasy is involved. But please try to keep things reality based and as realistic as possible. So no extreme crimes (murder, aggravated assault, rape, etc). Also, please remember to keep kayfabe. So please refrain from mentioning about how wrestling is "fake" and that results are "determined". To your characters, the wrestling is very much real.
• In the interest of fairness, all roleplays must be placed on the boards. Basically, no linking of roleplays to an outside website, blog, etc. This is to a) keep uniformity and b) to make sure that roleplays aren't edited after being posted.
CONDUCT
• Everyone loses at some point. It's a fact of life. If you have a disagreement/question over the outcome of your match, please contact any member of the staff privately and voice your concerns there. "Airing out dirty laundry" will not be tolerated.
• Racial slurs will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If you say something derogatory to another member of this fed, be it in-character or out-of-character, you will be removed. No questions asked.
• Plagiarism will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If you are caught stealing someone else's work, you will be banned from the forums and reported to any e-fed circle we're currently apart of. Also, recycled old roleplays will also not be tolerated. If you are caught using material from an old roleplay, you will also be banned and reported.
• Using these boards to recruit for another e-fed will not be tolerated. If you are caught recruiting on these forums, you will be banned and reported to any e-fed circle we're currently apart of.
• Don't be an idiot. So please no posting of images or links to nude or pornographic material. Kids are watching. And so is Proboards.
These may seem like a lot of rules. But really, the majority of them are common sense. We're just listing them above to have them in writing. And again, this is only a game. We hope that you not only have fun here, but we hope that you'll be playing this game with us for a very long time.
